Hector Duran

I hired him to remodel our kitchen and  bathroom.  I paid him several thousand dollars for materials in advance, and he said he could have it done in 8 days. He did 3 days of work, and then he was gone. He texted me several times, making excuses, but he hasn’t returned.  I do not recommend him at all.

Everything went fine.  Once you can get Hector's time, his work is excellent.  He is very busy though. His prices cannot be beat.  This is the 5th time he has done work for me and I am satisfied every time.

They showed up and when they were running late called to let me know. His estimates were more than fair and the work was done on schedule and on price. They also cleaned up the caulking that my wife and I had removed after I tried to caulk it myself, although poorly. He even fixed the running toilet that I couldn't figure out. His work was so good that I'm going to have him come back and do some painting touch ups. Would recommend him to all.

They were amiable and pleasant. I was impressed with the fact that they removed their shoes before entering the house. However, they have not answered four calls to finish the job. Addendum: Eventually they returned and accomplished the shower door repair satisfactorily.

The jobs went very well. He immediately showed up early to do the jobs that he was hired to do. There were a couple of times when he had to push back his work days but he did call to advise me of this. I plan to hire him again when I decide to install wood flooring to one of my bedrooms. My house looks new just with the baseboards alone, thank you again Hector!

He is a good guy. He did a good job when he last came out. I called him first. He then showed up and took care of the problem. I would ask people to use his services. I use his services all the time.

Hector is great. He is so busy that it sometimes takes a little while for him to get back to you, but he shows up to do the work on time and as promised and his work is excellent. His fees are extremely reasonable. This time he installed a new mailbox for us--he provided the concrete, dug the hole after cleaning up the area, installed a nice post to the correct legal height and installed the mailbox we had purchased. He did a neat, fast and professional job. He previously was a subcontractor for our bathroom remodel and did the drywall, paint and carpentry, rough and finish, for a bathroom remodel. He does lovely work and is very neat and careful, plus he has a good eye for things like how to center a soffit, how to finish molding,etc.

Hector is excellent and he is here whenever I need something. He is outstanding and great as well. He can do all kinds of work including plumbing, electrical, and drywall work. He did a lot of work for me, but he also has a couple of people who work with him.

Hector is excellent. He is real good at figuring out what the problem is and a reasonable way to fix it. He does quality work, works hard, and cleans up after himself. I like his recommendations for replacement pieces - good quality, but not too expensive. He will purchase everything, shows up on time, is honest and dependable. Very professional, and reasonable rates too. Highly recommended.

The work was fantastic. Hector Duran provides excellent service at a very resonable price. The work was completed professionally and efficiently. Hector, Alfredo and Emilio are very good at their craft and are able to do everything involved in home remodeling. They worked without stop for many days and cleaned up every day before they left. They take pride in what they do and they are extreemly honest. Hector devoted a great deal of personal time to insure that the ceiling moldings matched throughout the house. This was not easy since the house has many site crafted features that date back to the 1930s. I plan to hire Hector Duran and use this team again..

Excellent! Mr Duran and his assistant did a great job replacing the faucet and re-caulking the tub, including making a quick run to the local Home Depot for an unanticipated need for supplies. They were very tidy in the work they performed and made sure that we were happy with the work before leaving. We will be using their services again!

I contacted Mr. Duran to do some repair work at a condo I have rented out. He contacted the tenant, made the appointment and showed up on time. My tenant was very pleased with his workmanship and his pleasant attitude. I will use him again.

Hector did a really nice job of door installation of doors that we had purchased. Job was done on time with good attention to detail. Work area was cleaned up at end of every work day. Casement and baseboard installation was outstanding. Hector took the initiative to mitre the baseboard to blend with the door casements throughout the installation area; we had not thought of doing it this way but it makes truly nice visual impact. Nice creative touch. As with the doors, the work was performed when scheduled, very professional job, always cleaned up at end of work days. Completed this part of job within 2 days. We would highly recommend Hector for either door installation or for handyman activities. Very nice person to work with.

If you are looking for an honest, hard working, competent person, give Hector a call. He is very concientious and professional and knows his stuff.
