I am a self employed Real Estate Broker. From time to time I find myself in a situation of needing the services of a contractor. I have worked with and been exposed to a number of contractors over the years and have been disappointed many times. That is why I cringed when I discovered that my most recent listing, which by the way had just sold, was experiencing a roof leak. Prior to becoming a Real Estate Broker, I had been the CFO for a homebuilding Company for over thirty years and had a general idea as to what the repair might cost. However, I had been out of the industry for a while and my first thought was how do I find a good roofing contractor in today’s market? Do I do a Google Search, Homeadvisors, Craig’s List, Angieslist, etc.? I visited each of the aforementioned sources and noted any contractors that had reviews. I read the reviews and made a determination as to whether the reviews were real or fabricated. I selected three contractors, requested an inspection and a proposal to do the work. I met with each contractor described the problem and let them tell me what would have to be done to fix the problem. The scope of work as well as the estimates were all over the map however, there was one company that stood out from all the rest. WOOLBRIGHT’S ROOFING & CONSTRUCTION, INC.Woolbright’s proposal was not the lowest nor the highest. It was in the range of where I believed it should be. Needless to say I chose WOOLBRIGHT’S ROOFING & CONSTRUCTION, INC.From the time I met Jim Woolbright, the owner, reviewed his proposal and scope of work I knew I had made the right choice. Jim was on time, knowledgeable and did not tell me what I wanted to hear but what had to be done to eliminate the problem. Jim’s crew showed up on time and ready to do the repairs. They were also knowledgeable and possessed a great attitude, not just an employee’s with a job to get a paycheck, but a part of a company whose goal is to have nothing but satisfied customers.
