I had previously used G & H Painting to repair drywall in my house, so when I needed to repair stucco on the outside, I gave them a call. I left a voicemail, but didn't hear back, so the next day I texted. About half an hour later, I received a call saying he could be at my house within the hour. About an hour later, Garry arrived. He gave his estimate, which was less than I expected, and got to work. He efficiently completed the job and gave us a good amount of advice on our house.

It went ok. The deal was $199 for two 10x10 rooms, no ceilings, and said that ceilings could be added for additional cost. I asked Garry how much extra he would charge for both ceilings, plus the fact that the living room was larger than 10x10, and he said he would have to see it before he could give an accurate quote. When he got here, he said that I should have told him that the ceilings were acoustic so that he could have brought his sprayer. Between that and the fact that the living room was 15x15, the additional cost was $300 more. This seemed a bit steep, since I had already paid $199. but I needed the work done so I agreed. He and his helper did a nice job, but he was very mean to his helper and kept giving him a hard time about the fact that he got lost and was late to the job. I didn't like the way he treated him at all, and would not use him again because of this. It was painful to listen to.

So George was a half hour late which actually ended up for the best, but after that he was the absolute a pro, and very nice, and polite. He not only did a perfect job without even taping and did not get a drop on anything, but gave great advice, which actually took him extra time for no extra money. He really takes pride in his work. He left the place perfect. He does go by the rules of Angie's list, fair enough, so read carefully. He is worth his price and more.

They did very good. They rolled it once then took a lunch break and then rolled it a second time. That's is exactly how 2 coats of paint is meant to be done. So it was excellent. Some painters try to get away with rolling up the wall as one coat and then down the wall as a second coat>wrong. G&H did it the Correct way!!

he said he was using angies list to add more business. Did not set appointment date on initial call because he didn't know his schedule. did call him to tell him I was available on a certain date and he made it. just thought he should not have mentioned that as he makes it sound like people purchasing through Angies list were not as important than maybe some larger jobs. He did the job and price is lower than others so I'm happy.

Badly. They knew they were painting a kitchen, they told me the paint to buy, the supplies to buy, etc. THEN they showed up and said it would cost extra to paint the cabinets. Dude, kitchens are ALL cabinets!

The work was fine. We did go beyond the coupon and paid for the extra work. There was some confusion about what the estimate for the work beyond the coupon value was, and that was frustrating for both the firm and for me.

Garry and his brother performed exceptional installing my molded. They made sure that I was happy with their workmanship before leaving. I would hire them again for future projects.

Not good! They were paid through Angie’s, but it ended up to be twice the amount, by adding extra length, area and extra work to fill in drywall work! It was a bad experience and my first and last experience with Angie’s List!

I feel bad leaving less then great reviews for people with their own businesses but it's just his attitude and manner with clients that needs adjusting. It's not WHAT YOU SAY BUT HOW YOU SAY IT. Gary and his partner ended up doing an okay job in the end but it's his attitude that you're getting a huge deal and that he doesn't want to be there doing this cheap job that is the problem. During the middle of the day I ran out of the paint I thought I needed and got 5 gallons more of paint (per Gary's request) and he only needed another 2. So yeah that's another $160 I wasted on paint that I didn't need, sitting in my garage. If you're looking for someone cheap who makes you feel cheap, then here you go. If you're looking for someone who is pleasant to be around and who you might use again, then unfortunately this isn't the guy.

Communication was good to set up time/place. The ad is for a 10 X 10 room. Since the room is a 12 x 10, he charged $20 more even though one wall is mostly closet. So he does go by the book and sticks to the fine print of 10 x 10 measurements. So if your room is 10' x 10' 1", watch out! it'll cost a little more. lol. Since he asks us to buy ALL materials, the price you pay for his service for the room is strictly for labor. Paint is about $40 and other supplies is $15. so $40+$15+$99 was total cost which is fair and he and his team did a good job with the paint job.

Covered the entire house. Paid $200 for upgraded paint. Was a little bit difficult to schedule, but the overall quality of the job was good. My house has a deep stucco texture, so getting all the nooks and crannies was a big job. I did have to point out missed areas a few times (in some cases the old paint could only be seen from steep angles so it wasn't immediately obvious).
