He advised that I should also install a new electrical box in the back and said he would do it for $900 with $450 upfront. In a few days he came back and said he needed to get permits and inspectors which would be an additional $600. It took him over a week to get things installed, and he installed it in the wrong place. The inspector came out and said they couldn’t sign off on the box because it was installed too close to a window. The inspector placed a notice as to where the company said he could install it. Juan seemed surprised and took a few days and handed me a half of an application for an electrical permit for me to pick up which he said he had paid for. When I got there they told me that he was denied because he didn’t have a class C license which is needed for this job and the permit hadn’t been paid for. I ended up paying for the permit and having to tell Juan he couldn’t do the work. I now have to get bids for a fix of his various errors.
Description of Work: I was looking to install a furnace but a neighbor told me that he was a licensed contractor and he wanted to do a bid and would additionally need to add a new electrical box.
