The Grout Expert Inc
About us
The Grout Expert is a professional grout, tile and stone services company serving the San Francisco Bay Area and Orange County. We've worked with California homeowners and businesses since 1999, completing thousands of successful grout and tile cleaning projects. From kitchens and bathrooms to restaurants and fitness centers, The Grout Expert repairs, cleans, and seals grout, tile, and stone with an unparalleled combination of efficiency and care. We approach every grout cleaning job—from the smallest bathroom to the largest commercial kitchen—with the highest level of care and thoroughness. The end result is that your grout, tile, and stone will be very clean, consistently color matched, and properly sealed. Our staff treats your home and time as if they were their own. We communicate clearly, work quietly and efficiently, and clean up after ourselves. Read our testimonials to see what people say about us. Just about anyone can do a simple grout-over. But when a project gets complicated, entailing wet rock or vintage tiles, you need a professional with grout and tile cleaning skills and experience far beyond the basics. We handle the tough projects that our competitors decline to take on—in fact, they often refer customers to us. In our business, it's easy to take shortcuts. Steam cleaning with harsh chemicals or grouting over old grout can be done quickly and cheaply, but it often causes additional damage and work in the long-term. We do the work right the first time by hand cleaning and replacing old grout. $50 charge for out of area service. Award wining. Additional fax - (650) 324-1734. Additional email - [email protected]. Initially, I had him repair the grout on the bathroom floor. His price was $300 which seemed high, but not outrageous. The tile looked great except for two small areas which he took care of on his second visit.
I asked for a quote to repair the grout on the shower floor, pony wall and 1/2 way up the shower walls. We settled on a price of $400 which again seemed high, but based on the amount of time he had spent on the first job, perhaps not that out of line. However, the second job took 4 hours (as opposed to the 6 to 8 hours estimated) which averaged out to $100 per hour.
I asked him to quote a third job and the price seemed out of line with similar work I had done a couple of years ago. I will look for someone else who does good work at a more reasonable rate.
If you want excellent work and are not concerned about cost use this provider.
- Easy to make an appointment and got an estimate. Peter showed up on time and he is a hard worker, does excellent job as he promised to do. I am more than happy with the end results.
It's a back breaking job and rather than do it yourself, I will call Peter.
