SKYLIGHTS PLUS

Not well. Owner/installer completely unprofessional. (1) Complained that job site was too far away from his office (he knew my address - I even paid him additional funds to make the trip out here); (2) shoddy workmanship - just threw the skylight on and proceeded to come down without mounting the skylight. Owner/installer only mounted the skylight with screws when I went up to inspect the work; (3) extremely rude - said that the skylight was heavy enough that it did not need to be mounted with screws (even though screws were provided and instructions clearly stated as required).

Jeff surveyed the existing skylight and went through the selection of a solar powered unit as a replacement.  He provided details on the advantages of using a solar powered unit for our installation and the additional functions it would provide.  He showed up on time on the date scheduled. He replaced and removed the old unit, installed the new unit in a clean and professional manner.  He then showed me the completed work, ran it several times through its cycle and went through the operation and controls for the unit.

They did a very good job for us with our skylights. They have a very good installer and they know exactly what they're doing. They specialize in installing these skylights so they know exactly how to do it. They were very professional. My husband was very concerned about our tile roof but we didn't have any problems with leaking or things like that at all so we've been very pleased with the installation and everything since. The skylights have been in there for I think 3 years now and we've been very pleased with them. It's made of a special low-E glass that cuts the heat and they're very much worth it.

Jeff at Skylights Plus did such a nice job the first time... I hired him again to replace my remaining four skylights. If you are thinking of installing or replacing skylights I would give Skylights Plus a call.

I phoned Skylights Plus to see about replacing a damaged existing skylight. Jeff answered the phone and we discussed my need to replace one cracked existing skylight. Jeff said he would come out to my home, inspect what I have, and could replace my broken skylight on the spot. (keep in mind this conversation is taking place as I'm driving into work). By the time i got to my office Jeff had the contract completed and he faxed it to me when I arrived. I approved it, faxed it back, and went on with my work day. To my surprise 2 1/2 hours later I received a picture on my phone of my finished skylight with the words and quot;doneand quot;! it looked great! I zipped back home, met Jeff and his assistant, saw my new skylight and paid him! It was the easiest process! The Skylight looks beautiful!
I am now considering getting my additional four skylights replaced by Skylights Plus. My experience with Jeff was great!

Everything went well. Jeff Cyril and his assistant were professional, honest, detailed, thorough, worked within our time frame, hard working and great follow up.
We wanted a specific brand and type of skylights. From the manufactures website we narrowed down installers that installed that particular brand in our surrounding areas. After interviewing 3 companies, Skylights Plus jumped to the top of our list because Jeff was very thorough in explaining the installation process, what to expect and professionally answered my questions about permits.
Skylights Plus was the only company that didn't discourage the need for permits. Permitting was important to us. We wanted to cut the rafters and be sure we would not have any issues about it later on. Jeff was forthright about the actual cost of permitting, creating designs/drawings and submitting process which was significantly minimal compared to the other interviewed companies. In the professional manner which he answered my question, we knew wanted to hire Skylights Plus.
We had a specific time frame we needed Skylights Plus to work since we wanted to be moved in before Thanksgiving. We also had multiple house projects going on at the same time that SP worked over a 2-3 day installation, including inspector coming to approve the work.
SP came in on the first day and did all the cutting and placement of our skylights. Unfortunately toward the end of that day they had to stop because a tool broke and they needed to purchase a replacement part. Thankfully it was the end of the day, and the bulk of the and quot;messyand quot; work was complete. No problem.
In between day 1 to our and quot;day 2and quot; with SP, we had our carpets installed. This was scheduled before we hired SP and I moved forward with it. and quot;Day 2and quot; and we surprised Jeff with new carpets. So he thoughtfully, placed extra drop cloths down and we used some carpet remnants to lessen the amount of dust over the new carpets. They were very mindful and consistent about where they walked. This is just one example respectful things they did for our home.
It's taken me over a year to write this review. Hard to believe this much time has passed and we hadn't written about Skylight Plus' work. However, we now have the perspective of that time and are still very glad we hired them because of their workmanship and professionalism. We've had rainy weather with no leaks. We've opened and closed our skylights a number of times. We've happily use our remote control to open and close the shades almost daily. We are glad we made this and quot;splurgeand quot; purchase and installed before we moved in.

I had 2 big skylights up in my loft in the 2nd storey already, but they used to always let in a lot of heat during the summer. I was looking at getting them replaced with some low heat glass that could cut the rays that caused heat. I called them up and they called me back within a day or two. I talked to them about what I needed and wanted. We discussed things and that's when they sent one of their installer who is a contractor too. He measured and looked at everything and told me about the options that I could get. He told me about the different kinds of things that could be done. It could also be motorized. I could use the skylights that come with the motor or I could get one where I could pull to open manually or I could just replace the glass and have fixed frames. I decided to go with the manual opening one so that when it's hot, I could open them and let the heat rise out of those skylights. They came in and installed them within less than 2 hours. My husband had a lot of concerns because he was worried about people walking on the roof and breaking tiles and all that kind of things. They were very careful and ensured us that they would not ruin the tiles. They said if they broke anything, they would make sure that they would replace them. I used to look at the roof all the time. It was a really good job that they did. I'm very pleased with the skylights. I have already opened them during the day time as it was really hot a few weeks ago. The heat did rise up and I could feel the cool air coming in at night. It's got a pleasant improvement in keeping the temperature lower on the 2nd storey. Their price was fair. I would use them again in the future.

Quality of work was great, project took longer than quoted. Overall satisfied.

Jeff came out and did an excellent job advising me what type of skylight would work best for my bathroom. He gave me an estimate, came out and installed the skylight within one day. He also repaired a vent fan tube that prior laborers had knocked loose. I would definitely recommend Skylights Plus--their experience and professionalism is great!
