Our showroom and workshop since 1980 is specialized in Rug * Repair * Cleaning * Restoration * Alterations * Appraisals * Sales * Services * We handle it all! We restore rugs damaged due to pet urine, fraying, holes or missing areas, fading, odors, color run, water exposure, moth infestation, accidents, negligence, usage or any other causes. We will restore or repair and in most cases bring the rugs back to their original condition. We add extra layers of quality control to servicing of valuable rugs. For example, not every cleaner washes the same way. We inspect, write instructions and assign the cleaner best for the type of rug and it's needs. We also inspect every rug after it's been cleaned and if necessary recommend re-wash.We have the best renown weavers who specialize in a rug's particular type of weaving. We provide specialists who can do the best job possible for every kind of handmade rug. "I thank you for writing. Obviously we failed to serve you at the quality level we strive to serve every client. I looked up notes on your invoice trying to find why we didn't have your pad ready at the time you picked up your rug. More than 5 months have passed and none of my staff recalls how this happened. Did we offer to deliver your rug and pad since your pad was not ready? We show total charge of $228 made on October 13, 2014. I LOVE this place. Everyone in the shop is super friendly and makes you feel like you are important to them. I first took in one rug to see how good they would take care of me, and I was NOT disappointed. After I received the first rug back, I then took in two more, and then two more again when I picked the 2nd order. Each time, I was treated like royalty even though I did not have the super expensive rugs that I see on display in their store. Their repairs were very reasonable (fringe coming loose) and I was very happy at how they made my dingy looking fringe snow white again. I had been using another specialty rug cleaner near my home further south from their store (who also did nice work), but upon return, their prices had escalated so high that I decided to shop around and so happy that I found THE RUG AFFAIR, which is also not too far from my home. They are very knowledgeable about their products and services and take the time to educate you on how to take care of your rugs and also explain their cleaning process. An extra bonus is that they wrote on my receipt, each time, the country from which my rugs were manufactured -- LOVE THAT -- and also they place a tag on back of the rug to remind you when you last cleaned it. I AM A VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER

From the first phone call to the final delivery of the cleaned rugs I was treated like a valued customer. Barry gave me a telephone estimate and explained the entire cleaning and repair process before they arranged a pick up of my rugs. After they examined the rugs at their facility he telephoned me with his assessment of the damage and what they could do to repair the damage, including photos of our rug side by side with another rug with a similar problem which they had already repaired. It was very helpful to see exactly what he was proposing.
As Barry had another appointment near us when the rugs were ready for delivery he personally delivered the rugs and explained to us a little more about our specific rugs - origins, age, weave, etc. It was very informative and helpful. We were so pleased with the results that we asked him to take two more rugs for cleaning and repair.
Our telephone calls and scheduling were handled by Bo in the office and she was very professional and pleasant to work with.
It was a pleasure working with Barry and Bo and I recommend The Rug Affair without reservation.

The cleaning was done in their shop and delivery was prompt and on-time.
Rugs were returned to us in about the time that we were told it would take. The work is beautiful and my wife doesn't hate my dog so much anymore. Price was noticeably less than at Mansour where we had purchased them. Great craftmanship. Highly recommend for rugs that are such an investment. Still expensive, but I'm sure if you pay very cheap, you'll get poor work. I just can't give "excellent"...
