Avi already installed 4x4 to support the kitchen floor ($5,640) and I liked the solid feel so I asked him to continue the 4x4 support to the dining room. He quoted my another $2200 to extend another 15 feet of 4x4 for the dining room. After he was done, one side of the dining room was buckled up and the other side was still wobbly. Later on, I went under the house to install some water pipe insulation and found out he only installed a short piece around 10-11 feet because there was a foundation footing in the way. I asked him to install another 4x4 for the missing area but he refused. He would only do it if I paid him again. Like most contractors, he refused to fix a minor problem after he got paid for the job.
