I discovered my water heater had broken Friday night. I called Jim that night to see if he could fix it on Saturday. He said he was all booked up & could not come until Monday. I told him I would find someone else in the yellow pages. Everyone was quoting $800.00. I called Jim (since I used 1 week before for electrical work) to see what he would charge if he could have done the job. He said $725.00 & that he was trying to rearrange his Saturday schedule to come to my house & install the water heater. He came at 12PM to look over the broken water heater, then left to finish his others jobs. He was back at 3:30PM with my new GE water heater & installed it. It turns out, the old water heater was installed & then the cabinet was built around it. The old water heater was bigger than the opening to get it out. Jim had to cut out & remove a piece of wood & he nailed it back in place when the job was done. He still only charged the original quote of $725.00 even thought he had to do more work.
