I needed a water regulator and a few other things to be done. Though I knew STP hours did not start until 8:00 AM I called at 7:40 AM to leave a message; perhaps I could get to them before anyone else. At about 8:45 AM I did not hear back so I called again this time hoping to get someone to speak to directly. Paul answered the phone. I explained what I needed done. He asked if I could wait until tomorrow morning. We agreed upon the next day at 8:00 AM. Paul showed up just a few minutes late. I asked him to please check the regulator with his gauge to make sure my gauge was reading properly. He checked the pressure; I definitely needed to get a new regulator. Being that he had to change out the regulator, I decided to have him change it from a sweat union to a double and to change out the valve gate with a lever. After explaining that to him, he asked me to show him the other things that I needed to have done (leaky hose connected to kitchen sink nozzle, two different bathtubs have a slow drip if not shut off really tight, a toilet that has a sizzling sound, and three faucet handles that are crooked). After we went through everything, he told me that changing the regulator might fix some of the issues. I was glad that he did not just go ahead and do all the other things. After the new regulator was installed we checked the leaky hose, the toilet and the bathtubs. The hose still needed to be replaced, the toilet did need a new fill valve (got a new flapper too), but the bathtubs no longer needed to be shut tightly in order to stop the slow drip. Paul did not have the hose I needed for my sink or the flapper for my toilet so he had to go to a plumbing supply store to get those parts. Paul was conscientious about cleaning up everything but more importantly he took the time to make sure nothing would get damaged. I had a lot of questions for Paul during his time here. He took the time to address all my questions making sure I understood exactly what he was saying. I thought Paul was here for almost two hours but when he showed me the invoice, he only charged me for an hour. I am glad that although all the questions I asked contributed to his time of almost two hours he only charged for me the actual time he was working.

I called Paul to see if he could come to our home on a specific date a week in advance because I had already arranged to be home that day. The plumber we usually work with was out of town. Paul answered the phone himself, answered my questions directly and simply, gave me an idea of the cost and told me he was available, so we scheduled it.
On the day of, Paul was a little late, but I had told him that I was flexible on the time when we arranged the service. He was very matter-of-fact, had a clear understanding of what we wanted and set to work right away. He was competent and worked quickly - he installed two toilets (including switching out the seats for us because we had just bought new seats for the old toilets), a kitchen water faucet, and a 5-stage reverse osmosis water filter in about 3 and a half hours. He also disposed of the old toilets for us and took away the packing material, too. He cleaned up very well and his invoice was easy to read and understand. Basically he's our new plumber now because he communicates very well and just did what needed to be done quickly and well for a reasonable price.

After fixing the master shower,  Paul also tested the pressure regulator and explain what could happen if the water pressure was to high.  He also took the time to explain how the the gas line is tested and explain how it works.  Paul also alert me that I should install a gas shut off valve.  My appointment was at 10am, he was here exactly on time.  If you want a plumber that is trustworthy, very affordable,  and explain things to you that you can understand then this is definitely the company you should hire.  I would strongly recommend STP Plumbing.

They were awesome.  They came out and they were on time.  They fixed the problem.  They were great.  They were professional.  We had some other people before and we were not satisfied with their work but STP showed up on that day and they were just prompt and professional.   

They are competitive.  They fixed the problem right away.

Paul turned what I guessed would be a very expensive and drawn out circumstance to one that was very painless and cost efficient.  
Our kitchen sink suddenly became completely back-up at about 9:00PM last night and despite my own efforts to snake the drain and clean-out, it remained clogged.  I found Paul (STP) on Angies list and sent a message at about 10PM.  Paul responded within 10 minutes and offered to come by in the morning.  He arrived at 9:15AM and had the drain cleared by about 10:30.  He also checked the main line out to the street.  He then tackled the leaking valve stems in the guest shower.  He had to leave and get special stems and when the price was higher than expected, he contacted me from the plumbing supply to make sure I was OK with the cost beforehand.    
In addition to his obvious skills as a master plumber, he was very professional, friendly, and kept things very neat.  If and when I need a plumber again, Paul will be my first call.

Paul was so quick to respond to all of my questions.  He helped us locate the bathtub handles we wanted and picked them up for us. He quoted us a price ahead of time and we felt it was a great price for what he did. He showed up on time and did a wonderful job. We were so happy with his work and we have already contacted him to do some additional work. We will be using Paul in the future as well!

This is the second time I have used STP plumbing. Both times, Paul helped me out. He came on time both times that I used their service. Everything went smoothly and he left without any mess or issues. Prices are reasonable and I will definitely use them again if/when I have plumbing issues.

Steve is my long-time plumber. When my old toilets were constantly clogging up, I took  Angie's List's  advice and asked him to recommend replacements.  He brought me two new clog-free toilets, removed the old toilets, and installed the new ones.  Have had no clog problems since then.

Steve has been my plumber for many years.  He is honest, reliable and prompt.  In September, landscapers working on my property were surprised to discover a huge sink-hole in a planted area in front of the house, and noticed that the soil in the hole was damp, and that there was a sewer pipe in the hole.. Steve came out, was also surprised to see the hole, and suspected a leak.  He returned the next day with a camera, which showed that the sewer pipe (over 50 years old and made of clay that's not used any more) was full of cracks, and the leaking had caused the sink-hole.  If this hadn't been discovered by accident, the leaking would have continued and eventually undermined the driveway.  The entire sewer pipe from the front of the house to where it connects with the sewer had to be replaced.  It was expensive, but Steve had to hire a crew of several workers to do it.  They enlarged the hole in front of the house, dug another hole where the pipe meets the sewer, and then used a hydraulic device to pull a huge new pipe through the openings.  Some landscaping was disturbed, but overall there was no damage to my property, and it was all done in one day.

Steve came out and tightened the old valve and charged me his minimum of $75.00. I wanted to replace the valve but he said it wasn't needed. Once he left and I realized the water in the house was turned off so I had to call him back. He returned 2 hours later and realized he had turned off the main waterline. Once he turned it back on, the old valve started leaking again. He then replaced the valve with the new one. He originally quoted my $125 to replace the valve but it came out to over $150 in the end. I really think he should have discounted his service considering I had originally requested him to change the valve and he was adamant that it was not necessary. Had he done so, I probably would have used him again.

Steve has been my plumber for the past several years. As always, he performed the work in an expert and professional manner. Steve is honest and reliable, and I recommend him highly. As a plus, his wife, Isabel, who takes his calls, is friendly, helpful and sympathetic.
