James made the entire front, side and back yard look beautiful. And, we reduced our water usage by 50%.

Overall we were unhappy with the experience. I hate giving someone such bad reviews and actually thought about giving lower in some areas, but I didn't want to be completely rude. I believe James had the best of intentions however he really needs to work on a few areas. First with regards to work quality. We had some planters that had cannas in them (which are bulbs) and we decided we wanted them removed. Well, they were removed but not entirely. The workers didn't dig out all the bulbs and we've had them all grow right back. Luckily we like them after all so its not a huge issue, but he should make sure that they remove plants completely, not just the surface. We had sprinklers put in and overall those aren't bad. However we had discussed using a drip systems in the planters and then he changed it to regular sprinklers. Still do their job but spray our walls a bit more then we would have liked. The sprinklers in the grass are good but even with adjustment don't hit all spots. Between my husband and I and my father, we know a good amount about plants. We asked him to give us a list of plants he intended on using and we made adjustments to it based on what we know we like and don't like and added some we'd like to see. Ultimately, he didn't end up using but maybe one of the plants we added to the list. Anytime we would email him about something that we wanted changed or anything mildly important (emailing so we could have it in writing), we would never hear back and when asked he'd say he didn't receive the email. Ok....? Anytime we'd question him over something (not accusingly, just to get clarity) he'd get defensive.

In a nutshell: For the amount of money spent, I expected much more.

John was very professional and patient to help fix a sprinkler issue that others were not able to fix without a major rehaul. He was willing to come up with alternative options that fit within my budget as this is a rental property for us. Even though this was a very small job compared to what they are used to completing, he was helpful and punctual and worked with me. For the tree service needed, he was willing to refer this out as his schedule was tight. I liked his style and professionalism and when we have a bigger job, I will definitely turn to him.

Our church needed landscaping really bad. We had a large area in the front of our sanctuary that didn't have automatic sprinklers and everything was dead. It looked awful. We needed something there that was going to look good that doesn't require a lot of maintenance. James helped us to come up with a landscaping design that would look good but stay within our budget. He was always professional and came when promised. James was there with his crew and supervised the project making sure everything went smoothly. He really went the extra mile for us and did some rework of the sprinkler system without charging us extra. We are all so pleased with the result and would definitely recommend this company to others and will use him again when needed. Also, James made sure that we were satisfied with everything before finishing the job.

I ended up being very happy with what James did with my yard. What impressed me the most was the service after the sale. James bent over backward to make me happy with my yard after I initially expressed disappointment with how some of it had turned out. He came back and made changes to my specifications, and I'm a happy customer. Thanks, James!

James's crew showed up on time and went right to work, there were 5 total.It was hot that day but all five of them went to work in a different area. By the end of the day they had 75% of the work done. My wife wanted to make sure she liked the plants that were going to be placed. James offered twice to take her to a local nursery. But ended up showing up with a truck bed full of different plants to choose from that he thought would look good. We seemed satisfied with what we picked out and they were planted that day. Two workers showed up the next day to do the sprinkler work on the far side of the driveway. With all the roots that were there because of the magnolia tree, this was no easy task. James had trouble getting the sod so it took several days for him to place the sod adjust sprinklers and to finish the alcove entry way which we decided to landscape also. Overall James and his crew did an excellent job. The plants are starting to fill in and I expect to fully appreciate James's visualization of his efforts next spring when things are in full bloom

Our process started by interviewing multiple landscaping contractors to potentially work with. We selected James because he seemed truly passionate about the potential our yard had, he listened closely to our ideas, he good ideas of his own, his costs were reasonable, and he had excellent references. Next we worked with James to fine tune the landscaping plan. The work itself, in particular the hardscaping required several months. Along the way as we had new ideas or modifications in mind James worked with us to incorporate those. We also sincerely appreciated James expressing his own suggestions and concerns as the projected proceeded. Throughout the project James was on site and working directly with his staff. He is very “hands-on”. After the hardscaping was completed we revisited the plant plan and made adjustments. Planting went quickly and we again appreciated James suggestions and guidance regarding plant selection and location. James is a pleasure to work with. We consider him an artisan with extraordinary attention to detail and a strong work ethic. He suggests and recommends, but you decide. We wouldn’t hesitate to use him again and have already recommended him to several people that have been in our back yard. As the work progressed and inspections were conducted even City personnel asked for the name and contact information of our landscaping contractor. Based on our experience I would urge anyone who is doing landscaping to include Jamescape in the mix of contractors you’re considering.
