Our experience with Gilbert & Sons was nothing but positive!

I called Gilbert & Son for an estimate on a full kitchen resurfacing project.
My initial call was for a basic repair job under the sink but wanted to know what to expect on a resurfacing job.
Gilbert Lopez Senior came out the very next day after my call the day before.  He was extremely professional and a nice guy who provided me with great information and a rough estimate.  He indicated there was a wait time of 2 weeks if I decided to take on a job.  I haven't called back but I'm still interested in pursuing a resurfacing job instead of doing a complete remodel.  When we're ready I'll be giving them a job for an official bid.

Gilbert was very professional and encouraged us to contact him with any questions we might have. He gave good suggestions as well. I was having difficulty deciding on a color. We found a color we liked at the Lowes kitchen display in San Dimas. Gilbert went so far as to drive there and take a look at the cabinets. The color he suggested for my kitchen I thought would be way to dark, but he left me a sample, which I eventually decide to go with. He was right, it really went well with my tile.

I appreciated the way he always left the kitchen neat and clean.. Gilbert stayed the entire time to ensure everything was done correctly. He and his crew were great to work with. I would highly recommend Gilbert and Sons to anyone!

I got referrals from other people to use him to do cabinetry work. My husband and I went to his shop. He is an A+ on work, on time, price and recommendations. They started coming in July then I waited for the cabinets to be custom done. They came in and did those. Then I had them do one bathroom and then another bathroom. It was a no of jobs. It took that long because there were breaks in-between for different reasons. They were always on time. They sent me a proposal. They did sketches of my cabinets. He asked me for each and every detail and for me to ok everything. He told me the in’s and out’s. If I wanted something he would show me something and say that’s going to cost more. He would tell me how much it would cost. He told me the right type of candles to put on the door and the reasons why. I had a choice of using 3 inches or 4 inches. He was very professional. He lets me know about every single detail that I could possible imagine. There’s not one detail that I can think he missed. There’s a neighbor down the street that used him before me. Gilbert had told me when he was at my house working, that person called in and just could not give enough kudos about how good they were. The guy doesn’t need to really advertise. He’s got the business because of the quality and word of mouth.

Mr. Lopez replaced the doors on all kitchen cabinets and rebuilt all drawers. The new doors and drawer fronts were stained to match the existing finish. He was on time to all scheduled appointments, responsive to phone inquiries and courteous/professional. His estimate was well below the other two I received, but used the same materials. There were a few finishing details to be corrected, and he did so promptly with an excellent attitude. I will use him for any similar work in the future.

He's very upfront and gives you the price and sticks to it. He's very professional and does excellent quality work.

He is amazing. He brings his crew in and just gets the job done. He does excellent work. They are always on time and always do what they say they are going to do. They call you back and are neat and tidy. I wish everyone I hired could be like them.

I called Gilbert and Sons about a floor to ceiling laundry room cabinet I wanted built. They were responsive to my calls and arrive on time for our scheduled appointment. They followed up with my quote within a few days and answered all my questions. I ended up using another company due to a couple of friends who had positive experiences with them. I have nothing bad to say about Gilbert and Sons.

He has been a cabinet maker for 40 years. He came out measured everything and done all of the necessary things before beginning the project. The project was completed in three weeks, almost a week earlier than what I was told it would take. They did a great job. His crew came right in and knew exactly what they were doing.

There was a discussion between us and there is a vector in the arrangement of things and it went along with his suggestions. He provided them in a pre-painted condition and we did the final paint on it. His price was good and he was really competent as far as we had. He was immaculate.

They were painted white in the factory as per our request and the company did an beautiful job.. We would definetly use them again.

Our experience with Gilbert was really good. We did quite of bit of price shopping, and they were the top. Their quality was excellent, and they did a great job cleaning up. I would very highly recommend Gilbert and Son, and would use them again.

I needed to get new kitchen cabinets and drawers and was considering a refacing the cabinets. My limitation was I was intending on selling the house and didn't want to spend a ton of money. During the estimate, Gilbert recommended only replacing the kitchen cabinets and drawers and simply repainting the cabinets. This was the most logical choice as it was the most cost effective and would still solve the issues with the kitchen cabinets. Gilbert even offered to show me his show room to see exactly what the cabinets and hardware would look like. After getting several estimates from other contractors, I was still leaning heavily toward Gilbert. Even other contractors admitted they could not beat his price. Once Gilbert got the measurements and got the cabinets and doors, everything was installed in about 1hr. Overall, everything went smoothly and came out much better than anticipated.

We were having our master bathroom remodeled and since our contractor did not do cabinetry, we needed to look elsewhere for this work. I needed someone to make a two sink vanity and a cabinet over our toilet. I called Gilbert on a Saturday morning, described what I wanted and he not only gave me an accurate quote but also came by the same day and did measurements. It took 2 weeks for us to get the cabinets and we would have had them installed sooner however it took us a bit of time deciding on the varnish color. Gilbert was very patient with our indecision on color and had quite a few helpful recommendations besides.The end result are beautiful cabinets that add the perfect touch to the bathroom. I would not hesitate to use this company again and will definitely recommend him to my friends and family.

They did a great job. They were very responsive and I would recommend them. There were some minor cosmetic things that they could have done better but every time I look at them, I wish they were done better. Overall, I was happy with them.
