We opted not to pay the extra for old insulation removal, and I packed 8 barrel liner bags before I gave up. No matter, the vendor showed on time, did clean work (cellulose insulation blown from truck via hose). On time, in budget, cleaned up. Reasonable price, friendly workers (2). Went smooth.
Description of Work: Blown insulation under new roof.

It has literally been 2 weeks since they last called me back. We're ready to go, the roofing contractor is ready, we want the work done, and no response from Comfort Zone. I've literally left about 15 messages over 2 weeks, including faxing them a letter asking them to call me back in case their phone was done. No one has bothered returning any of my calls or messages. Meanwhile I've got to start all over and find another insulation company. I realize there may be health circumstances on their end I'm not aware of, which is why I gave them two weeks, but the complete lack of response from anyone at the company is incredibly unprofessional and frustrating. If they ever get around to calling me back and giving a reasonable explanation as to why they've repeatedly ignored my phone calls, I'll happily adjust their score on this report. In the meantime, no matter how good their references are, I think it's only fair to warn other potential customers that they may run into responsiveness issues with Comfort Zone. If this is how they treat customers ready to hand them a check, how would they respond to any potential problems after the installation? FYI I am putting down (for the moment) that I would work with them in the future, because I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that there's SOME plausible excuse for their lack of return calls, and because they come so highly recommended. I'm just saying that to explain my willingness to use them in the future, even though I am giving them bad scores in responsiveness.
Description of Work: I had these guys come over to give me an estimate on insulating my walls. They said it'd be pointless until I added insulation to my roof (we had none there), but that if I did my roof in the future, they could add the insulation. I was impressed they turned down work that wasn't right for the customer. So 6 months later, when we decided to re-do our roof, I made arrangements with the roofing contractor to allow Comfort Zone to add the insulation, and Comfort Zone gave me a good ballpark price. They were then going to make arrangements to stop by the house and give me a final estimate, and I told them we'd use them for sure and we were ready to go. That's the last I heard from them.

I noticed my home was hotter and more of an unusual breeze so I called them. They did a wonderful job and my home is a lot cooler. The whole job took only 2 days. They cleaned up after themselves and they very nice to deal with.
Description of Work: I had them spray insulation on the inner and out walls of my attic. My home is 1400 square feet.
