I contacted Daniel Hirst to complete a kitchen remodel that I had already started. He showed up the next day and went over the details of the job and agreed to a fixed price and was supposed to start about 3 days later. He TEXTED me late at night on the 2nd day telling me he won't be starting the job in the morning because he didn't have enough manpower. I lost 3 days of letting the house sit in a mess waiting. I understand that I called him last minute and he may have had other jobs already lined up, but he should have told me that before agreeing to do the job and making me wait 3 days and then not even call me but to TEXT me. I can't speak to the quality of his work since no work was performed, but I do think it was extremely unprofessional and lacking courtesy to keep someone waiting 3 days only to back out the night before you're supposed to be starting the job. He seemed like a good guy in person, and I would have used him, but as it turns out I had to get on the phone and computer again to get more contractors to the job the morning he was supposed to start. Disappointed :(
