The office visit went well. I felt confident that Dr. Patel diagnosed the problem correctly and provided me the most appropriate options. She was careful with my toe and I felt comfortable having her give me a cortisone shot.

Dr. Patel gave a cursory examination of my toenails and confirmed that I had a fungus under my toenails.
She was very precise in describing the different treatments and the % of effectiveness of the treatment. I scheduled laser treatment which costs about $1000. She explained the procedure and told me that a solution would be provided to wash my socks,treat my shoes, and wash my floors so I would not reinfect myself, etc. I later changed my mind about laser treatment and decided to try the topical ointment or oil. She wrote the prescription for me at her office with no instructions how to use it. I had to ask the office staff about the solution they provided to wash socks, treat shoes, and floors. Their answer was any solution that one could buy at the store that kills fungus. I was disappointed and discouraged by the lack of information provided even though I asked more questions. The office staff and Dr. Patel dismissed them without providing anymore information. It seemed that Dr. Patel and her office were only interested in providing help and information if I had laser surgery rather than the cheaper alternative of an oil that cost $45.
I would not recommend this office to anyone and will not go there for any other type of treatment.
