The person that I worked with (Dave) under estimated the value of our home and we had to re evaluate the price and increase it. He seemed very hands off and he did very little of running interference of me as a seller. The original commission was not negotiated. When I asked about it he told me it was the standard 6%. I told him that I felt like I was doing his job and he eventually took it down to 5% which was still very high in my opinion based on the services he was providing. I feel he acted that he was the owner and he wanted others to do the work. It was very hands off and a lot of the work fell on me.
