It went well. My piano was tuned well. He gave me good advice about how often a piano needs to be tuned, etc. He spent a good time on it. Knowledgeable about pianos and music. I had fun talking to him. Thank you so much, Mr. Reber.

A very expert piano technician.  He repaired a couple of malfunctioning keys, tuned the piano and then went over the tuning again to make sure that it was perfect.  Jeff explained that the action was stiff and required some additional work.  He then told me how much more it would cost to perform the additional service.  The overall experience was excellent.
He took great care in protecting the piano case and even covered the bench with a pad.
A great technician!

Jeff did an excellent job in explaining the process of what was to be done to clean and tune the piano. The cleaning was done first. Because we had not had it cleaned in so long, it took some time to complete to Jeff's exacting standards. It looked wonderful when he finished.
The tuning took longer because of the age of the piano and the length of time since it was last tuned. He was meticulous and thorough in tuning the strings. Whenever he encountered an area of concern, he explained what he found, listed options of how to handle it, and let me make the decision. For example, the bass strings had lost their elasticity due to age and did not sound like they should. He explained that if he tried to tune too much, a string could break resulting in having to replace it. He was very cognizant of my budget concerns. Jeff covered every part of the piano: pedals, keys, music desk, soundboard, harp, strings, and pin block. Because of an upcoming change in residence, I was not certain if the piano would remain in the family. It may very well be sold. He recommended rough tuning it close to pitch now because the piano would have to be tuned again after any move. His expertise and straight forward recommendations were greatly appreciated.
Upon completion of the cleaning and tuning, he did a thorough review of the piano item by item and provided me with an appraisal in case it would be sold.
I really appreciated his wealth of knowledge and expertise in completing the work. Jeff is very easy to work with and explains options available when a problem arises. Our family will definitely call him again!

In Tune Piano Service – Jeff Reber Service provided June 6, 2014.

Years ago I used to play the piano, more years ago than I care to count. I decided to relearn to play and we recently acquired a used Mason and Hamlin upright piano (13 years old) that was shipped in a trailer nearly 1,800 miles from state of Kansas. This piano has a Dampp-Chaser Piano Humidifier Dehumidifier sytem. Also, should you consider my review you should be aware I never had a piano tuned before and therefore do not have a common frame of reference for comparison to other piano tuners.

I can say that Jeff arrived on time and from my perspective he was very thorough which I very much appreciate. He tuned every piano key, and then started over and fine tuned all the keys again. After adjusting/tuning all the keys twice Jeff played the piano and then proceeded to fine tune maybe a third of the keys again. I certainly appreciated the thoroughness… it was like seeing a craftsman in action that truly cared about the result of his work. In our case the total time spent tuning our piano was a bit over two hours and I found the piano service tuning cost reasonable and well worth it.

Perhaps I should also mention that during the time Jeff was tuning our “new to us” piano, he also was interrupted a few times by our four year old granddaughter however he did not seem to mind and kindly answered her questions. Our granddaughter’s interruptions did not stop or seem slow down the piano tuning process. I found Mr. Jeff Reber to be a thorough piano technician and a gentleman in the truest sense of the word.

We most certainly will use Jeff again and plan to have him back in about nine months as he recommended.

My regular tuner retired without offering a replacement, so I used Angie's List to find a tuner in my local area. On the basis of several reviews, I contacted Mr. Reber and was pleasantly surprised that he would schedule Saturday appointments. Mr. Reber was early for our appointment, which I appreciated, and immediately began tuning the piano. Since the piano hadn't been tuned in more than a year, he had to spend more time than usual to achieve a satisfactory tuning. In all, he spent about an hour and a half which I know is longer than a usual tuning session. Mr. Reber was very professional in his interactions and I believe that the price was entirely fair. I was pleased with Mr. Reber's work on the piano and will have him tune my piano in the future.

This guy is pretty good. He is a real good tuner. We have worked with other guys and if they tune a piano it stays tuned for about a month or less but if this guy tunes it stays tuned. He was reasonable.
