I have to give 5 stars. I researched very carefully before bringing in my dog Beau for a tooth cleaning. I have had some bad prior experiences with vets wanting to do a lot of unnecessary testing, pulling all my dogs teeth, etc. in addition, my poodle is a rescue and is very shy. I had a wonderful experience and it looks like I have found a new vet. Dr. Bjork really listened to my concerns, took the time to educate me to help me determine the age of my dog, and made my dog feel comfortable. When I picked him up after the procedure Beau was relaxed and happy and took a treat from the assistant which he normally would not do. I will definitely be coming back. This is definitely one of the best vet clinics around.

We have been taking our animals to Geary Vet for 25+ years and would never use another vet. We started with our Golden retriever and cat. The staff, especially Dr. Bjork was very knowledgeable and took the time to discuss the pros and cons of treatment with us as well as how the treatment would benefit each. We then became involved with Racing Greyhound Rescue and despite recommendations to use another vet, stayed with Geary Vet. It has proved a very wise decision. Dr. B already knew about the breed's needs and has continued to educate himself and the staff. Geary Vet. has become the go to place for greyhound rescue and we rarely miss seeing another hound when we go in. All of the vets there listen to their patients' people and will discuss issues freely. When an emergency occurs, they are there and make time to see the injured or ill pet. One time we called just before closing as we came home to a severely bleeding dog. Dr. B and one of his assistants, Mike, stayed overtime to do the surgery and instruct us in the care. When situations arise that are beyond the ability of the office to handle, they are instrumental in getting the best care at another hospital. Since our pets do mostly have shorter lives than we do, end of life issues must be discussed. The compassion and love shown by the staff is beyond comparison. When it has happened, the experience, never easy, is mitigated by the love we have felt. The entire staff here is motivated by a passion and calling for the well being and health of the pets we bring into
our lives.

It was an office visit charge. I've been going to Geary Veterinary Hospital for 25 years for my cats and dogs. The main vet there is absolutely fabulous. He is extremely competent. He is extremely compassionate and extremely realistic. We're dealing with animals and they have a shorter life span than we do. It applies to his entire staff. If he doesn't know, he will tell me that he doesn't know. Then, he will research it and get back to me. He does it in a very prompt fashion. I won't take my animals anywhere else as long as he's open. We brought him in emergencies and it's closing time. He stayed to treat the animal. He is just fabulous. He has vets in his office to do alternative forms of care and not just the traditional way. They do some acupuncture and none-anesthesia cleaning. I can'r say enough. He is good. The only time I've had to wait was when he was handling an emergency.

Dr. Hamilton clearly loves animals. She sat on the floor with me and our dog to conduct the examination. She was very gentle with our dog, and performed a thorough eye examination. Dr. Hamilton explained the most likely cause of our dog's eye irritation and, the medication she prescribed cleared up the problem in a few days.
We have been patients of Geary Veterinary Hospital for years. Everyone on staff is knowlegable and professional. We will continue to go to Geary Veterinary Hospital and to recommend their services.

I first went to Geary Vet Hospital several years ago after another vet wanted to charge over $650 to clean my dog's teeth! Geary Vet charged about half that. I then decided to use Geary Vet Hospital for all of my dog's veterinary services. I found Dr. Bjork to be a very kind and competent vet. He never tried to push unnecessary procedures/tests and was very kind as my dog aged.
With my new dog I have used the veterinary services of both Dr. Bjork and Dr. Hamilton. They are both superb vets - good with animals and with people. They do what's best for the animal, and also listen to the pet owner.
I am very happy with their services and highly recommend Geary Vet Hospital.
