Don't use their service dept. unless you want to be overcharged for unneeded work. They recommended their "value" level service at 40K mi.; I found out later that this was service not recommended by VW (or anyone I could find, including the dealer who sold me the car new in another state). The "value" level was stuff like "premium oil conditioner" and "fuel induction service" that is not needed at all at 40K. If they had honestly labeled the 3 levels of service as "smart', "dumb" (but we make more money), and "dumbest" (but we make lots more money) I would have known what choice to make. As it was, I chose the "dumb" level; don't do the same.

A lot of people don't understand diesels, and I want to make sure it's taken care of properly. They are very responsive. If you make an appointment, you know in advance the time in and time out. They will also drive you places in the meanwhile.

The availability for an appointment was pretty good and they got me in within a couple day. They have very good communication regarding the vehicles and the waiting area is very comfortable.

They performed the required points of inspection and service.

We decided that we wanted a Jetta TDI and had been working with another dealer. They couldn't get the car and so I called Dirito. They had one left (the only one i could find in the East Bay). I called, and rather than telling me to come in, the dealership negotiated a price over the phone and had all the paperwork ready to go when we came to pick up the car. Rafael, our salesman, went over various aspects of the car with us, but sensed that we didnt want the full blown tour and adjusted to our needs. The whole process could have been unpleasant, but the dealership made everything easy. The most straightforward auto purchase I've ever had.

My experience with them was absolutely wonderful. They were very professional. They took over two hours to explain about my new car to me. They went through every detail. I could ask them any kinds of questions I wanted. They pointed out features I never would have found. I wouldn’t have known about them even if I read the manual. I also got an extended warranty when I bought my car. They were actually conservative about selling me the extended warranty. I kind of had to talk them into it. They really didn’t try to oversell anything. They wanted to make sure that it was the right warranty package for me and so I felt very confident about it. It was a long way away for me, but I knew that they were a good shop. They got me exactly the car that I wanted at a very fair price. If need be, then I would use their services in the future too.
