Window World of San Diego

Showed up on time, cleaned up after themselves. Very kind. So far windows are installed, still waiting on doors as they have decorative glass and manafacturing time is longer.

It was a good experience. They were upfront about the choices and were one of the only companies that gave a break down of what cost what. They expressly tried to steer me away from costly upgrades stating that they were not needed for the type of windows I was considering. Very straightforward sales talk. The installation went off smoothly. The installers were professional and worked to finish in a day. (6 windows + 1 patio door + 2 small bathroom windows). When they thought it would go beyond a day, they pulled in another installer to ensure same day installation.

We had an old aluminum extra large or non standard window that I could hardly open that needed to be replaced. Also, we had an old tile shelf outside the window that needed removing as well. The salesman Jeff came out on time and was very personable and knowledgeable about their services. He showed me the window that would be the best type for the area.  I looked through their brochures and I agreed their 4000 series double paned slider in white would be the best for us. He also added tinted glass (called Solar zone Elite)  He gave me a demonstration of a sample window and the way the window opened and using a blow torch how cool it stayed inside compared to a standard window. It was interesting. I didn't order the window that day. I called him back and he took measurements.
When the two men came out to install the window I was given a time range (between 1-3 p.m.) when they would arrive and they arrived at 2:30 p.m. They weren't informed that they were supposed to remove the tile shelf but I told them and they quickly removed it. The window was also installed in about 40 minutes. They showed me how to use it and cleaned up very nicely afterwards. Both men were very polite and courteous. They gave me the their warranty and the next day the company called for follow up questions. I thought they did a great job. I'm not sure why they were not told about the shelf but there was no problem with them removing it and hauling it away.  So I wouldn't put them down for that.
The price and quality of the windows is great and I would re-hire them again for other window replacement.

Window World did a terrific job on replacing the windows on my house. I replaced all the windows on my house in Sept 2014. I shopped around and got 3 estimates and Window World beat them all and also has the most superior product out of all that I saw.
I want to point out that I thoroughly researched Window World on the internet looking everywhere for reviews and I found some really bad reviews but I learned that Window World is a nationwide company and has many franchises that are all independently owned so it is not fair to compare with a broad brush.
This Window World that I am reviewing is owned by Gene Bryan and his wife Karyn in Vista, CA. Gene came out to my house on the sales call and I have to say that Gene was terrific to work with. He has an extensive background in the construction industry and has been a major player with Window World for a long time.
Gene also provided me with a brochure showing all the peer reviewed awards the company has gotten from trade magazines. All the top achievements in the window replacement industry which I followed up on the internet and found all to be legit.
He explained all the options I had and he had a window on his truck to show and explain to me all the superior features of their windows. My house is 60 years old and has double hung wood windows and I did not want to have any wood showing after the installation.
Gene offered the option of wrapping the wood with aluminum trim. They used white roll stock and a brake machine and manufactured all the trim and sill pieces on the job and it looks really good and covers all the wood.
Something else that I really liked a lot is that their company is involved with and contributes to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the Veterans Airlift Command that provides free air transportation to wounded veterans and their families. They do this as a way of giving back to the community.
Gene and Karyn are both very personable and were a joy to work with. If you are in the market for replacement windows you have to get an estimate from them. I couldn't be more pleased with the job that I got and I recommend them highly. Good job Window World!
