Clara and Joe have a great team that's worked on my coastal property for 3 years. I really appreciate Christian, Diego and Jose and the beautiful work they do hedging my large ficus, lacing Coral trees, Large Birds of Paradise, Pepper Trees, Podacarpus and Bamboo. They always check-in to see how the trimming is looking and want to confirm you're happy, they also do a great job cleaning the trimmings as they go. Clara is great with scheduling your appoint for an estimate with Joe and when Joes arrives he walks the property and takes time confirming what trees, how much to cut and height. It's important to be clear on what trees and plants are being trimmed and how many feet will be shortened or removed and confirm this reflects correctly on the quote prior to the day of work. This quote is the work order for the guys on the job and to keep everything running smoothly needs to be accurate so there is no confusion or disappointment. It's also important to be on site and easily available to answer questions or give input. The day of your scheduled job a foreman will walk the property with you and confirm the work that will be done and I always have my quote printed to review with them. If it's important to you to have Joe be there at the start of the job let Clara know and she will be sure to schedule your job that way, if not Joe always stops by during the job to see how everything is progressing and that you're happy. I am really particular with my hedges and any trimming on my trees and Vista Del Rey is the best, I also appreciate that Joe and Clara are able to maintain the same work crew through the years. This is not an easy task for employers these days and means a lot when I see the same crew year after year. Thank you Joe and Clara, I appreciate you and your team!

I have been using Jose since he started his business. watched his son grow up to help him. I would never use anyone else. very professional and when he is done, very clean. The entire team is top notch. Very highly recommended.

Clara is the best! Jose came out and gave us a quote, they just happen to have an opening the next day and he sent his crew out. They were done in a couple of hours. You can keep the wood chips or they will take them away for you. We use them once before after the Lilac Fire. It has been a few years and they still knew exactly who we were when we called. They even asked how our parents were doing. Great family owned business! Highly recommend!

Our 2 acre lot was transformed from a fire hazard to a park-like setting. Clara was fabulous over the phone and Jose walked the property and gave a clear itemized estimate. The work was done on the date scheduled and in the time they estimated. They cleaned up afterward. I highly recommend them.

I have been a very happy customer for years with Vista Del Rey Tree service. They are professional, respond the same day to my phone calls, do very artistic trimming of my trees, leave my yard in excellent condition, and have excellent knowledge of trees.

They did a very good job of trimming two pretty big trees. They came with 5 or 6 people and flew through the job. They made several good suggestions for how to trim (at additional cost) but when all is said and done the trees came out looking good. It was several days later when I discovered brown scrape marks all over the sidewalks and some of the stucco of the house and the yard gate. These were from dragging the cut limbs out to the street for grinding in the chipper. I didn't think much of it since I thought they would clean up easily. That was not the case at all. I have been working for days as they require serious scrubbing to remove. The agreed to price was not particularly inexpensive but now with this clean up requirement I think the job certainly was not worth the price. If you use them be sure to check how they handle the cuttings and the clean up process.

Price was reasonable. Work completed on the promise date. Did a good job cleaning the area afterwards. They cut the trunk very close to the ground, and did not try to sell me on stump grinding.
