THE DRAPERY SHOP

The first people we had out, from a couple of other companies were not that helpful. Cassie came with some excellent suggestions and actually convinced me to expand the project to include new Roman blinds and a new valence and forget the drapes. She was so right. The new valence and blinds are very attractive and not as heavy as the old ones. They really update the room.

Decorator guided selection of fabrics and styles for draperies. Once the draperies were installed, I felt oversold as the draperies seemed densely pleated and the lining vey heavy. I had questioned these aspects during the selection  process and was assured my selection was appropriate.
 
When the furniture and draperies were delivered, the decorator did not accompany the delivery and installation.  The installers were confused about the intended height of the kitchen valances and I had to clarify for them.  Also, the throw pillows were in the wrong fabric, which the company corrected after I had to point out the mistake.
The custom kitchen chair pads were rectangles that were too large for the chairs.  The company reduced the size of the rectangles but did not mirror the shape of the chairs.  Similarly, the living room chair cushions were too large for the chairs and had to be reduced.
The springs in the sectional had not been retied and the cushions sank.  The company subsequently reinforced the seat cushions following my complaints so that the sinking was not as pronounced, Quality of corners and fitting of material on cushions lacks tautness and is very disappointing.
The company sent the workman on the job to me to get direction on the corrections that were needed. He presented himself as humble, apologetic and almost sniveling.  I had to be the meanie.  The decorator should have been there to supervise installation and approve quality of product.
I was assured left over material would be returned to me.  It was not and I did not follow-up on it because I was fed up with the company.

The estimate went great and Theresa was helpful with my current draperies that I am having reworked to fit into my new home.

Pretty simple.  I delivered the pillows and fabric.  They sewed them for me and I went to pick them up.  I was impressed with their price and workmanship.

The shades arrived within two weeks and were installed perfectly within and hour and a half.  This is in contrast to Ashley Blinds where we ordered in July and waited until November for service and then cancelled.

I found The Drapery Shop by accident while chatting with another woman at a fabric store and what a fantastic recommendation. I had a very large remodel project with lots of moving parts. Lewis the owner came to my home to measure and we spent quite a bit of time trying to find products that would fit all my different needs for each of the rooms ie; window reflections on the t.v. He always listened was patient
 (more than one visit) and even made a fabric suggestion that was perfect for my Living Room! His staff Janice and Emily at the showroom are a compliment to the overall caring attitude. Janice and Emily followed up with many other facets of this project from ordering fabric samples, ideas for the pillows and upholstering the chairs in addition to the many more steps and phone calls. The upholstery jobs are everything you would expect with helping to re-design a chair to make it fun and funky to matching the geometric pattern perfectly. Installation went very smoothly and everyone is always on time. It is so nice to have a company when your doing a project that you can rely on to make the process stress free.

Theresa did an excellent job of helping us pick the best colors and designs for our Spanish style home. We were very pleased with the overall look that was achieved! The installation happened right on schedule and went smoothly.

She quickly picked up what my home life was like living rural with two large dogs. No silk was recomended! They delivered on time to the day! The installer was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with.    Full Service!   I did check prices on the work for one room where I was providing the fabric and The Drapery Shop was 20% lower in price. The custom look has made a significant difference in the presentation of my home.  I look forward to working with them again on future projects.

Theresa was very professional, knowledgeable, and courteous.  She measured accurately, told us how much it would cost, and how long it would take for the shop to sew the drapes.   The final cost was the same as the estimate.  Our old hardware didn't have enough rings but Mark,  the installer, found some extra rings in the shop and was able to get the drapes installed beautifully.  I would recommend The Drapery Shop to anyone needing window coverings.

This is a brand new house and they did a pretty major project for us. We had some window dressing, interior done. It started before Christmas and then they were gone for a couple of months and resumed subsequently. They were very accommodating. We knew ahead of time they were going to be gone for a while. The gentleman who provided the bid also made sure things were all right. He was very good. We would use them again in the future.

Mixed experience. Once great work in 2009. 2d time motorized light-blocking shades and curtains, also great. 3d time, 2010, came and measured for draperies and did not get back to me in 6 weeks (promised 2) so told to forget job and me and I will do the same.

It was easy to set up an appointment for someone to come and suggest best way to deal with a high window where the sun was in the way during the late afternoon. Salesperson was punctual and professional and suggested a good solution. Gave a discount for Angie's List. Someone called when the materials were in to set up installation. Installer was on time, did a good job, explained how to use the remote on the blind in the tall window. I would use them again.

We've had a total of three interactions and the first two have been completed. The first experience was for shades and they did an excellent job. The product is good and so was the installation. They did it on time and at the price quoted. They are very knowledgeable. They just finished remodeling a bedspread from a double size bed to a queen size. We just picked that up and they did an excellent job. They are in the process of making draperies for a couple of rooms. We are very pleased with them.

Very good, wish I'd had them do other drapes and shutters in my house.

Theresa came twice to meet with my husband and I. We went through fabrics and colors. She helped us fit the style with the rest of the house. Matt did the installation. They both were professional and very helpful. Everything was complete earlier than estimated. We got 3 quotes...The Drapery Shop was the least expensive and the quickest. The quality is great.

All went well. Decorating specialist from Drapery Shop came out two days after initial call to Shop. Was very professional in explaining and showing samples of various treatment options and then took our order. As all was custom, promised delivery within 4 weeks. All treatments were made and technician had installed treatments about 2 weeks after order was taken, e.g. service was 2 weeks faster than promised.

The service was excellent. They came out and measured all of our windows, and in one case customized the shape of the blinds to fit the kitchen window. During their visit, they pointed us toward a cheaper, but better performing option than we were initially considering, saving us significant money. Installation was done on time and very professionally.

I WAS UNCERTAIN EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED FOR THE FRONT WINDOWS. I HAD DRAPERIES AND WANTED SOMETHING LIGHT, BUT STILL PROVIDING PRIVACY. THE COMPANY CAME TO MY HOME WITH IDEAS AND SWATCHES. THE BLINDS ARRIVED ON TIME AND PUT IN THE NEXT DAY.

THE JOB LOOKED GREAT. THEY TOOK A LITTLE LONGER THAN PROMISED FOR DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION, BUT THEY DID CALL AND INFORM ME OF THE SLIGHT DELAY. I HAVE ALSO HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE PULL CORD ON THE BLINDS BEING DAMAGED BY CHILDREN. THEY FIXED IT FOR FREE, THEY JUST ASKED ME TO BRING THEM TO THE SHOP. I ALSO HAD A QUESTION ON HOW TO RE-ATTACH A SHADE THAT WE REMOVED FOR WINDOW CLEANING. THEY WERE VERY PATIENT IN EXPLAINING OVER THE PHONE HOW IT SHOULD BE CORRECTLY DONE. AT MY INITIAL APPOINTMENT, THE SALESPERSON ASKED SPECIFIC QUESTIONS, WHEN DOING A HOUSE WALK THOROUGH, TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING WAS DONE AS I PLANNED.

DID A GREAT JOB ON THE UPHOLSTERY. WE WERE SATISFIED WITH HIS CRAFTSMANSHIP AND WOULD HIRE HIM TO DO OTHER UPHOLSTERY JOBS.

THIS COMPANY WAS THE MOST COMPETITIVE OUT OF THE THREE BIDS THAT I RECEIVED, WHEN I FIRST MOVED INTO MY HOME. THE OWNER AND DESIGNER WAS VERY GOOD AND EVEN TOLD ME WHICH TYPE OF BLINDS WOULD WORK BETTER IN THE KITCHEN, DINING ROOM AND FAMILY ROOM. THE JOB WAS DONE VERY QUICKLY AND WAS COMPLETED WITHIN A THREE WEEK PERIOD. ALL THE ESSENTIAL ROOMS HAD BLINDS IN THEM BEFORE WE MOVED IN, WHICH OUR FAMILY REALLY APPRECIATED.

EVERYTHING I ASKED FOR, I RECEIVED IN A TIMELY FASHION THE TREATMENTS WERE PERFECT!
