Description of Work: My contractor used this company to do the hot mopping in upstairs bathroom. They came in on time and started firing the furnace to heat the tar. I asked the guy to take a look at the shower area if there is anything that needs to be prepared first. He said no everything was good. The tar was going to be mopped directly to the plywood sub floor. I also asked him a number of questions: how he was going to slope the tar, how to make sure the weep holes are not covered by tar, how he was going to seal the join between cast iron drain to the plywood base, whether he would use the nylon mesh for the corners (which I learned from youtube is code). He did not have the patience to answer these questions. He said he did not have time to explain all this because he had to move to other jobs. The sub floor was littered with splattered dry wall mud and debris. I asked him to scrap those to make sure it is clean and level, he refused to do it and just wanted to start the mopping. His answered was he had been doing this for 30 years. I insisted that the floor be cleaned first from all the drywall mud. His answered that he did not have time. Well, if he did not have 15 minutes just to scrap the drywall patches and vaccum the debris, how could he do the best possible job. He would probably do "good enough" job. If he was in such a rush to move to other job, how can I trust him to do the best job possible. At that point, I said stop and dont do the work.
