Replaced the unit instead of repairing. Ron did not charge us. We have used him several times, always reliable and very affordable.

Fixed Samsung Dryer sensor in 1 hour. I called Samsung and it took 2 technicians 3 days to figure out what was wrong and replace the part and within 2 months it went out again. 5 years later and haven't had an issue with it sense. Fixed Whirlpool refrigerator in 30 minutes day after Thanksgiving.

He couldn't fix it despite multiple visits, part replacements and attempts. It would work for a short time and then break again. A <5 yr old dryer. It was very frustrating for me, but he was persistent and clear about trying to save an almost-new dryer. I finally just had to buy a new one, after months of back and forth and replaced parts. I told him and he refunded my money immediately. He was as disappointed it wasn't fixed as I was! This guy is straightforward and has integrity, I'll call him again.

This is the second repair job done by Ray's Appliance and I felt Ron the repairman should be recognized for being a very knowledgeable person. He is also very friendly and honest. He cleans up after himself and clearly explains what he did. We will use him again.

The day after he replaced the ice maker it was still not making ice. I called him after it was not working and he declined to come back out and said it would take up to 48 hours to make ice. I just had rotator cuff surgery so ice was a necessity to me and he was aware of this. If he would have told this to me in the beginning I could have planned accordingly. I have had to rely on my neighbors for the past two days.

I telephoned and was given a diagnosis and cost over the phone. An appointment was set up for the next day. Within minutes, Ron called back and said his current job was finished and he could come immediately with the needed part. He arrived promptly and fixed the washer for the estimated charge. The washer now works fine.

Our refrigerator did not cool anymore. Ron analyzed the problem requiring a new Adaptive Defrost Control. He replaced it and also fixed a small vent door and spring that had come loose. We were satisfied with the work and price.

Excellent experience! I initially called on Memorial Day afternoon expecting to get an answering machine but got a live person (Ron) who made an appointment to come out the next morning between 9 and 11. Ron arrived just before 10 and quickly diagnosed my problem: the drive belt had broken and would have to be replaced, although I would have to buy the whole belt assembly kit as the replacement belt was no longer available alone. Ron estimated the repair and parts would cost about $180 and I told him I was reluctant to invest that much in such an old machine when a new one would cost about $500-600. Ron told me that my machine, when repaired, would outlast any of the new machines because they are now far more complex (computerized). He said I could expect up to another 10 years of use on my Whirlpool dryer. Ron actually said initially it would last "forever" with its new belt since the machine was a rather simple mechanism. Since it had been working just fine before the belt broke, I went ahead with the repair and the dryer now seems to work just as well as before. I have no reason to believe it won't keep on going for the ten years he promised. I watched him make the repair and it's evident the machine is very simply constructed. P.S.: I got a $10 senior discount on the service charge and a coupon for $20 off my next service call. I wouldn't hesitate to call this company again and I thank Angie's List for the super recommendation.

REPAIRMAN ARRIVED THE SAME DAY. CALLED AHEAD TO LET ME KNOW WHEN HE WAS ARRIVING. HE WAS VERY POLITE AND LISTENED TO MY EXPLANATION OF THE PROBLEM. HE WORKED VERY QUICKLY AND CLEANED UP AFTERWARDS.
