This review is "old" for a reason. I hate to give negative reviews, but I feel this is the only way we can make Angie's List a valuable resource--to be honest. I had baseboards installed by this company 4 years ago. They had a number of baseboard mouldings I could pick from, primed the wood, and painted it the color I requested, and installed it in three bedrooms, a hallway and stairway. The baseboards looked beautiful after installation and I thought the price was fair. The installer left a mess on the carpet, with bits of sawdust everywhere. When I complained to the person I had been dealing with (not the installer), he didn't say anything, didn't offer to reduce the price, didn't offer to clean it up. Fast forward 4 years. I had new carpet installed. The new carpet was of a lower pile than the old carpet. When installed, the new carpet was about 1/2 inch lower than the bottom of the baseboards. There are some places where you can see all the way through to the drywall--the gap is so large. The carpet installer (who is a man I trust), said the baseboards should have been placed on the bottom of the floor--instead they were installed at the top of the carpet!!! ARRRGHH!!! To be installed properly, the baseboard installers should have pulled back the carpet, installed the baseboards flush or nearly flush with the bottom of the wood flooring near the carpet tacks (they are fairly high baseboards) and then reinstall the carpet under the baseboards. Of course, the way they did it was much easier. Now, my only choice is to leave them as is (and they look awful), or rip them out, repair the existing drywall, reinstall them and reinstall the carpet. This company should either install their product correctly, or get out of the business.
Description of Work: Installed baseboards upstairs in all bedrooms, hall and stairway.
