I had a lot of work done to my older home and Eric and his crew were professional, courteous and helpful the entire time. At the end of the day, everything was put away and cleaned up. There were quite a few challenges but Eric would come up with solutions and made sure everything was done the right way. I am very happy with the way everything turned out!

It went great! Eric was very thorough with the scope walkthrough, estimate and work throughout the project. We had a tight timeframe to work with and ECS made it work. Always responsive and great workmanship by all involved. We had just bought a 2 bed/2 bath home and wanted the whole inside updated prior to move in. The ECS quote wasn't the cheapest but was by far the most conscientious and professional and left us feeling confident in selecting Eric and ECS. We are really happy with the results and would definitely recommend them!

This was a complete home remodel, interior and exterior, that took 8 months to complete, and It is absolutely Amazing!!! Eric is a true professional! He was consistently concerned about details and that the work was done the right way. He always patient and cheerful and very easy to work with. We could not have hired a better contractor.

ECS Construction has been the contractor on several projects where I have been the architect. Recently, we hired Eric to substantially remodel and expand our personal residence. Eric’s trustworthiness, attention to detail, and excellent communication are attributes that not only have led to my continued recommendation of him to my clients, but also using him for our own project. My experience with Eric is wide ranging, from additions, to remodels, and rebuilds each project was approached with the similar level of care. Eric’s interaction with his clients is always professional no matter the size or scope of the project. During our addition Eric’s communication went above and beyond. We always felt like we knew what was happening now and what we could expect in the coming weeks and months during our project. Eric’s management of complex residential projects is without compare and I would highly recommend him for any future projects.

We are a family of four and we had just purchased a 4500 square foot home in San Diego’s North County that required some significant remodeling and updates. However, we were still living in Boston, MA and were hoping to have the home remodeling done before our West Coast move in about a month. This was a daunting undertaking, given our being across the country, not knowing North County contractors, and our tight timeframe to complete the work. Then we met Eric, who was referred to us by our trusted realtor. Not only was Eric a terrific cross-country communicator (text, email, phone), but he brought an exceptional level of detail-orientation and workmanship to the project. Bottom line, we absolutely LOVE the work that he and his team completed, and we are now living in what we consider our dream home. To provide more detail about the remodeling, we had Eric and his team help us with the following numerous projects: painting all interior walls; installing engineered wood flooring throughout the majority of the house; a complete master bathroom remodel down to the studs, including new tile flooring, new soaking tub, and new shower; new sections of exterior fencing, new garden gates, and a new balcony railing; repainting all kitchen cabinets, media cabinet, and upstairs bathroom vanities, including new cabinet hardware; installation of a new furnace and Nest thermostats; interior and exterior electrical updates, plus the installation of numerous lighting fixtures and ceiling fans; and assembly and installation of wall-to-wall bookcases. In sum, we can’t fully express our gratitude for Eric. He is exceptional at what he does. He clearly loves what he does, and he does it so well. We recommend him without reservation. You will not be disappointed; on the contrary, you’ll end up living in your forever home.

We hired Eric to do a full kitchen remodel as well as a whole house refresh/redesign with new flooring, lighting, paint, and decorative elements. We could not have made a better choice. It felt like he was remodeling his own house with the level of detail and attention he paid during the entire process. He communicated every day to update us on progress and schedule and any issues or questions that arose. He has a long standing relationship with all of his subcontractors, and pays meticulous attention to their work as well as his own. On the rare nights that we would have concerns over how certain work looked, by the time we could talk to Eric in the morning, he had already noticed it and was having it taken care of. When drainage issues prevented us from installing the downdraft system that I had my heart set on, Eric helped us come up with a solution that would allow for ample venting without having a huge range hood over our island. He even built a custom cabinet around the hood to allow it to blend seamlessly into our new cabinetry, resulting in a professional looking kitchen that turned out better than our original idea. As I said, he treated our house remodel as though it were his own, and his suggestions and painstaking detail allowed us to truly have the kitchen and home of our dreams. He set an aggressive timeline and was able to meet that deadline without sacrificing quality in any way. There was never a day (other than most weekends) that he and his crew were not working, and they were able to finish our project in 2.5 months. He also came in on budget with no surprises (other than the extras we sprung on him mid-project). The next phase in our remodel is a major renovation of our master bath, and I can’t imagine hiring anyone else.

Eric and his team were extraordinarily prompt, communicative and professional throughout the process. Their finished work looks great! If you want a contractor you can rely on, look no further.

Working with ECS is a dream. Eric makes the process as clear and transparent as possible from the beginning and tracks everything with the highest level of professionalism. We hired ECS after having a friend remodel their home and they recommended him. At the time we had some family emergencies and had to travel for awhile and Eric was amazing in working with us while we were in town. We did a major remodel-backyard, bedroom, bathroom, living room and he did an AMAZING job. His crew is fantastic. They always showed up on time, we’re very skilled and worked hard! We added onto this major project almost every couple of weeks and we still finished on time! Eric is so detailed oriented. There were times I would say I wanted something and he would tell me to trust him and I’m so glad we did. He really knows his stuff and knows how to bring your vision your life! He does a great job at taking the time to get things done right and look very high end and perfect. He made our modern farmhouse a reality! He would notice things even we wouldn’t and fix it. He would work along side his contractors to make sure it was done right. We highly recommend ECS and will be using them again on the last areas of our home .

Eric and the ECS team were great to work with and we highly recommend them! We had a big project to remodel the second floor of our home, which included a tear-down and rebuild of our garage. The project was estimated to be about six months, and we're happy to say they finished the major part of the job EARLY, with high quality. We lived in the home on the first floor during the remodel, and could tell the progress being made day-by-day. The crew came in regularly on Saturdays, and neighbors commented on how diligent the work was happening. Overall: -Eric and subs were trustworthy and did high quality work. Eric cared about the work his crew and subs were doing; and at one point, had our balcony railing replaced after installation because something was off. It looked OK to us, but he wasn't comfortable with the quality and the work was redone. -Eric seemed fair. He advised us on when we could save some money on parts or work, and when he thought spending more would be worth it. -There would be some minor miscommunication from time-to-time, so summarizing conversations and doing follow-up by email helped. Eric and his crew were great and we appreciated his non-flashy, even-tempered demeanor, that certainly comes from a lot of experience.

I can't recommend anyone more highly than Eric Stephens at ECS Construction. Three words sum up my experience; Integrity, Quality and Honesty. Eric was always available, his sub contractors were top notch and the attention to detail was flawless. The scheduling was on point even when changes or challenges presented themselves. At the beginning of the project, during the framing it was noticed that the architect had made several mistakes that could have caused a complete tear down and redo had the framing been completed. Eric's guys not only caught the mistakes, but figured out a fix that caused minimal delay and very minor cost adjustment The finished product is solid and beautiful. It's great to work with someone that has such pride in their craft and genuinely cares about the well-being of his clients.

This was a complete remodel (down to the studs) of the kitchen and bathroom in our 50s era home. Work began 7/2/18 and completed 10/31/18. The work performed included: • A load-bearing wall was removed and replaced by a 17’ beam • A pocket door was installed in place of a bathroom swing door • A new electrical panel was installed • New windows and a new patio door were installed • Cottage cheese texture was removed from the ceiling • Interior and exterior painting was completed • Exterior stucco repair/replacement was completed Eric provided excellent communications either by email (for change orders) or text (for day-to-day) to always keep us informed of the trades (demo, plumbers, electricians, stucco masons, tilers, painters, fabricators, etc) coming in each day. Eric goes the extra mile to provide a quality product. Eric's crew are top-notch professionals who provide superior service. They know their stuff and were a pleasure to work with.

This is a "phase 2" of a number of projects we have been working on with ECS. Eric and his sub-contractors continue to do an fantastic job with no corners cut or missed! All of them are very professional, explain what they are doing in detail and complete their work to very high standards. Communication is very important and Eric is in constant contact throughout the project so that noting is missed or misunderstood! This part of our project came in on time and on budget. Another quality job by ECS whom we will continue to use for our next few projects to come!

Eric and his crew performed great! Could not have asked for a better job and when complete, was very satisfied! Planning on using ECS for more jobs soon!

The project was a great success. It took a while to get off the ground, but there were no bad surprises. Eric was very helpful in visualizing what we wanted and translating it into concrete plans. The quality of Eric's subs is exemplary; they were a pleasure to have around. Eric excels at solving problems, and a great communicator.

ECS was very professional. They stuck to their quote and were able to handle a number of job additions and various time constraints throughout the project. ECS was easy to get a hold of when I had questions and made sure everything turned out as planned.

I describe this townhouse that is for rent as "stunningly redecorated." On 8/14/2017 I described the progress of the job to date. The job was finished mid-November 2017. The property has been totally transformed, as you can see from a few of the before and after photos. It took 3 1/2 months, but this was a major job. A new shower was added and the place was taken down to the studs downstairs. Two significant electrical and plumbing issues also had to be remedied. The contractor was in constant text communication with the decorator & my daughter on hundreds of decisions that needed to be made. The contractor was extremely responsive, calling back whenever we were at a fixture store or Home Depot on specs. He cooperated with the HOA when approval was needed. He regularly sent photos of progress. Respectful and listens to suggestions. Worked well with team. Workers adhered to set work times and parking restrictions. Neighbors never had an issue. I was thankful to have selected ECS because I know he does the job right. This made a huge difference because we were not on site.

Going well to date. Another 6 wks to go probably.
