i highly recommend Sanchez Brothers.
Do not hesitate to use this company. We have mature, huge, beautiful trees and have tried various tree companies through out the years and by far these guys are the best. They do a great job and our trees are healthy as a result. Plus we have a giant oak over our swimming pool and we've never had a problem with damage to the pool or any debris falling in the pool. They may seem expensive, but not much more than other companies. If you want your trees cut the right way to promote healthy trees that flourish, they are worth every penny.
We're new to living in California and the Central Valley. We had zero knowledge of caring for palm trees, but it was pretty clear that the three which came with our house needed a good trimming. Large dead and dying fronds were drooping close to the ground and the trees were shedding palm nuts by the thousands into our pool.
We asked around but never got a good recommendation for any given company. A guy posted a sticky note on our front door, offering his services as a palm tree trimmer. We gave a moment's thought to the rusty machete we'd found in the garage when we moved in, but Instead, we turned to the good, old-fashioned phone book. We decided that whoever had the most convincing ad would get our call.Sanchez Bros. promised all the little assurances, such as licenses and insurance, plus they listed palm trees as one of their specialties.
Eddie Sanchez told us he would pop by in a few days for a look at the job and give us an estimate. We never even saw him; apparently he drove past the house, took one look into the yard, and knew what he was dealing with. For $375, he said, the Sanchez Bros. would trim the trees, get rid of the palm nuts, clean up their mess and carry it all away with them. Yes, he knew about the pool, no it wasn't a problem.
The biggest problem, as far as we were concerned: Eddie said they couldn't do the job for several weeks. We begged him to put us on a cancellation list. The very next day, he called and said the crew was going to be in the area and they would fit us in. Hallelujah!
Two professionally outfitted trucks pulled up in front of the house and guys swarmed out of them with ladders, saws, ropes, safety glasses and more. We watched with some amusement while they diligently placed neon green safety cones around each tree. Each guy had a job, and each guy got to it promptly. Within minutes, somebody was scaling the trees, palm fronds were falling, and others on the ground were hustling them away. A guy got our pool skimmer and went at everything that fell into the water. Another guy even got a leaf blower, blew all the surface detritus to one end of the pool, where it was scooped out. Inevitably, some dirt fell to the bottom of the pool, but the guys really made an effort to get everything they could. They were great.
With at least five guys working steadily, the job was done in about an hour. Amazing amounts of stuff came off these trees, yet the yard was left remarkably clean and the trees looked great when all was said and done.
Sanchez Brothers were great to deal with and we love the job they did.
