LONNIE SLOVER MOVING

I was disappointed with several things from Lonnie and Joyce. Shortly after their two employees arrived Lonnie showed up to proclaim that this should be a three person job, that his wife who had set up the move over the phone didn't know what she was doing, and that the job would take TWO DAYS! He also lamented that they should have brought a bigger truck and that it would take at least two trips. Alarm bells were ringing at this point but there was no turning back. In the end they made a second trip that was wholly unnecessary but milked the clock. Poor planning or greed, you decide. It also took them an hour to get the fridge out the door as they didn't know what to do, take the front door off its frame or the doors off the fridge. They finally decided on the latter but had no tools. None. And repeatedly called to ask for advice on how to do so. Seems like basic mover stuff to me. One mover was nearly crushed under our fridge when he slipped on a blanket. That was scary. All in all it took them eight and a half hours to move a 3 bed/2 bath home five miles across town and they didn't even have to assemble any furniture at the destination or move items into their respective rooms. When questioned on all these points at the time of payment Joyce was incredulous, offered no amends, and was downright rude. Very disappointed. NOT RECOMMENDED.
