Ashley Furniture Homestore

(02/04/2010) This exact telephone performance has gone on five times with no confirmed ship date as of this writing. This last Saturday, we made contact with Ashley Furniture sells manager, he very impolitely instructed the store could NOT refund my money. That I would have to go through customer service, which is an out of state corporate office. Also during this time I was informed Ashley is undergoing bankruptcy procedure. On 2/4/10 I waited over 45 minutes on hold and still no answering my call. Also be advised they are going to try adding a 30% restocking charge. BULL! refuse to pay it as it has NEVER been in stock to began with! All of their furniture comes via China... one slow boat from China. Look what this country of ours has done? UPDATE (05/22/2010) After receiving a notification letter from main corporate office, we were given a new ship date. The two men that delivered our chair from Monta Bello were independent carriers and they did a wonderful job of delivering and setting up our recliner. Ashley Furniture has a beautiful showroom, but I would never advise anyone make a purchase from them. I do hope Ashley Furniture can successfully reorganize and become the grade A furniture provider I believe they could be. I wish them all the best. Note: The B rating I gave was not directed at the store, but the professionals whom delivered our long overdue recliner.
