It needed Freon, so it was expensive. Shawn is part of a group of contractor's and they are all extremely reliable.

They didn't charge me. They have always been really good. The price is always reasonable. The guys are really hard to get a hold of, but that's what it's like here. Once you have an appointment, they show up. They are the only air conditioning company I use.

Since I have been using him, he has given me recommendations for other people. I keep using him because after the first call he was extremely qualified. Their best qualities are their dependability and professionalism.

The tech was a bit late, so in the end he discounted the cost by about 1/3rd.  I needed some rewiring done to accommodate a new, Wi-Fi thermostat I had purchased.  After looking things over, the tech took the time to describe to me what he proposed doing, which turned out to be much better than any ideas I might have had, and then proceeded to complete the wiring, and then installed the new thermostat.  He was very polite, personable, and respectful.  He was very efficient and had the job completed in no time.  We are very happy with the work and installation and performance of the new thermostat.

A tenant in my 7 unit apartment called me with the news his A/C stopped working in the 110 degree heat. I called 3 AC Repairmen - and Sean responded to my phone call in less than 30 minutes. He had someone go out within an hour - and the tenant had said he'd be there - but wasn't. His guy did what he could - and when I heard the tenant had dropped the ball, was horrified that it may take days to get someone back.  Nope - once we had the tenant contact him, he sent someone out within an hour and diagnosed the problem -- that the tenant was expecting too much from the A/C. He explained the capacity of the AC and that he was aware that tenants can sometimes expect more than the units can give.
Both office staff and the techs were extremely professional and helpful. They are without a doubt, my new go-to A/C, Heating and Plumbing Service Professionals.
The other AC service guys  I called that morning didn't return my call until 6 hours later.

They were really quick. I guess they were here for maybe an hour total. They looked at both air conditioners and checked the pressures and put freon in one of them. There were no unexpected issues. The price was very reasonable. They're a really great company. They're highly recommended.

Called TLC @ 6:10 am he stated he would be to our location between 10-12, arrived about 10:50am and by 11:05 he was heading towards the door to pick up the new part. It is now 12:30 and the house is nice and warm and I would recommend them to anyone need fast accurate service.

I messaged Sean McCourt on Friday and arranged a next day service call. Sean called about a half hour before arriving and showed up when promised. He is very professional, knowledgeable, and polite. He inspected my 20+ year old heater and found no problems. I was originally told by another company that the thermostat may need replacing because it did not appear to be sending a shut off signal to the heater. Sean tested the unit several times and found that the heater and the thermostat were both working as designed and there was no need to replace anything. He instructed me on the proper size filters for the heater, and gave me a ballpark quote for replacing and upgrading the unit to include an AC in the future. When that time comes, I will most definitely be calling TLC to do the work. I was originally quoted a figure of $85 for the inspection, but since the unit was clean and functioning correctly, Sean reduced the price of the call to $60. I highly recommend TLC for your heating and AC service!

The owner didn't charge us for the advice and took his time with us. He told us how to shut off the box on our air conditioner until they could come out.

My AC stopped working the day before. My nephew is in the trade of HVAC in Northern CA. I called him frist, and he tried to trouble shoot over the phone, but had to advise me to call someone local. I found TLC on Angies list, and gave them a call.
They were a delight to work with. They arrived on time and were friendly, outgoing, and professional. They didn't even mind the help my dogs gave them while they were working on the unit.
The diagnosis was the fan motor was burnt out. They had the part, and installed the new motor and were quick about it! Service call/install/part was a total of $425.00 Parts and labot guaranteed for 2 yrs.
They came in and tested to make sure it was cooling the house down, they had a detailed overivew of the entire visit and what was done etc. They advised me to switch the type of filters I was using for the heating and ac in the house. Told me it will save me money in the long run for future. A nice tip I will definitely follow.
I would highly recommend this company, and will use them again if needed!

The two gentlemen that came out were spectacular! They made sure that all my vents and thermostat were all operating properly. They looked at some plumbing problems, some specifically related to my toilet and examined some drippage around my home. I was very happy to hear that they would not charge me any extra costs to do that. They took a look at my air unit and he was honest about the condition of it and let me know that it would need replacing in the future but was fine for now, and gave me an estimate and did not try to sell me anything on the spot. I am thankful that I am now completely informed about my air conditioning unit.

Sean and Eric were pleasant, clean cut, punctual, uniformed in crisp attire with embroidered names on shirts, and liked my dog.

I had received a much higher quote from another company on Angie's List due to the 4th of July Holiday. I was told I could wait for them until the following Tuesday for non-Holiday fees. I called TLC !! Sean was kind, patient, and clear on pricing and made an appointment for 2 hours from my initial call. They wasted no time upon arrival; checked out the system, diagnosed, explained problem, repair, and cost. They remained to make sure the unit was cooling. On receipt, 5 steps of their "Diagnosis/Solution" were written out, read to me by Sean, at which time I wrote a check and signed the work order. Complete with 1 year guarantee on parts. It doesn't get any better! Yes, I highly recommend TLC.

Sean looked over everything to diagnose the problem, found the problem, and installed a new ignitor. He checked everything else with the heater and found everything else was in good shape. He recommended a filter of a different type than I had installed. The one I had installed was too restrictive for the old furnaces like mine, so I replaced the filter with the proper one. He ran the heater several times checking for proper service, and everything seemed okay. It's been working fine ever since and the ignitor has a two-year warranty.

GREAT! He was here within an hour or so of our call. He called to let us know he'd arrive in the next 30 minutes (which was right on schedule with his first estimate of arrival time) and he was here within 15 minutes of the call. He quickly diagnosed the problem as a dirty flame sensor...fixed the sensor and tested the unit several times to be sure all was well. He was very friendly, professional and gave me advice as to how to maintain the system. We did not have to pay more than the $50.00 service call fee.

My furnace stopped working on December 17th. I contacted TLC the morning of the 18th and he was at my home within 90 minutes. He quickly diagnosed the problem, but could not get parts until Monday. He called early Monday and let me know he had the parts, and came right over and installed them. The furnace (22 years old) has been working since without problems. Sean was very professional, explained what needed to be done in detail, kept me informed regarding locating parts, and completed the work as quickly as possible. I was 110% satisfied with his work. TLC will be my first call for heating and air conditioning work in the future.

I called TLC Heating and Air on a Sunday regarding a
heating system problem. Mr. McCourt called us back the same day and made an
appointment for the next day. He showed up promptly. He is neat, courteous,
professional and knowledgeable in his field.
He went right to work , assessed the problem, we agreed on a
price. Mr. McCourt retrieved the needed repair part and replaced it (INDUCER MOTOR). The
system now works fine and the repair has a 2 year parts and labor warranty.
We are very satisfied with Mr. McCourt and his service. He also explained the
functioning of our heating and air conditioning systems. He is full of good
information. We will not hesitate to call him in the future.

This was for a rental property 20+ miles away from my work (which I couldn't leave), during a heat wave of 110+. My tenants are in an age-restricted community and are in their late 60s/early 70s, so I could not have the air conditioning out for any amount of time. I searched thru the Angie's List database, found 2 HVAC contractors with great reviews, and gave my tenants both numbers so they could coordinate their time home with the service call/repair.
I don't know what happened with the first number, but the second one was TLC Plumbing, Heating and Air. Sean managed to get over there by 2 p.m. that same day, and kept in very good contact with me about what he found (in a unit that hadn't been serviced in 15 years), what he saw for needed repairs, costs, all of it. Luckily when the contact melted (from corrosion) it didn't take out the rest of the system, so he was able to replace it with parts carried on his truck, check over the system for other problems once it was powered on, and then recharge it with freon.
Total cost: less than $500, (the only reason I gave it a good, rather than an excellent, would be I was hoping to keep it around a couple hundred dollars. But considering a new unit is $3500-$6000, I can live with this bill!) and he took a credit card over the phone. Sean, the owner, was very pleasant, very polite, and had no problem explaining the situation and details to me when I asked for specifics. I didn't have to leave work, my tenants were minimally inconvenienced, and the AC works better than ever. I told my tenants to keep TLC's number, we'll be using him again!

Our air conditioner stopped working on Saturday so we called TLC Plumbing. Sean came out on Monday and determined the compressor had gone out. The compressor was under warranty but was not available locally. To save time and shipping costs, we decided to pick up the new compressor. Sean came out Wednesday morning to take out the compressor, we exchanged it for a new one Wednesday afternoon and Sean came back early Thursday morning, July 4th without charging us extra, to put the new one
in. What we appreciated most was he kept us apprised of what was going on at all times. He charged $45 for the first service call and then took that off our final bill. He also offered a 10% senior discount which we were able to take advantage of. Sean let us know what needed to be replaced and why, as well as why certain items cost so much. We would not hesitate to call Sean again.

Sean is the owner of the company and the person that came out to do the work as well. This was very important me as I have had many a bad experience where one person makes promises and then sends out a third party to do the work. First off Sean took the time to listen to my concerns and understand exactly what I was looking for in a new system. He then researched a couple different brands and options that most met my requirements. We then sat down and went over the different brands and options and found one that best met my needs. He then ordered the equipment and we set up a time for installation. Sean and his crew were on time and ready to work. They were very professional and worked in extreme heat to get the job done so we would have air conditioning for that evening (Thanks Sean). He then took the time to go over all the operating procedures and make sure that everything was working as it should. I am very grateful to Sean for the extra time he spent in answering all my questions even after the job was done. Customer service is what Sean is all about. When it was all said and done I feel that I got a great new system at a fair price and met a couple of great people. This has been the best experience I have had with a contractor to date. I strongly recommended TLC Plumbing Heating and Air Conditioning and will recommend them to all my family and friends as well. Thanks Sean for a job well done. Rick and Monika

We had hoped that our unit was just in need of freon as a friend had checked out most of the unit. Unfortunately, once Sean had inspected everything, he determined that it is the compressor that is going out on our unit. The AC does work, it just gives up after awhile and won't restart until the unit has cooled down. As it's the original builder's grade unit, and already 10 years old,we felt that replacing the compressor alone wasn't worth the cost/trouble.
Sean was very helpful in explaining the details of what is involved and did not charge us for the visit. We are first-time homeowners and this is all new to us, so it was a relief to have someone knowledgeable and helpful explain our options. It was nice to have someone explain what different directions we could go with this without being given a sales pitch. I would definitely call them for service in the future.

This needed to be done at the beginning of the heat season in the high desert. And Sean was very quick to respond. The actual installation only took 3 hours from start to finish. We now working AC. And the new unit is far more efficient than the old unit from 1988. We should get the investment back on no time.

Sean was courteous and helpful. I couldn't be more satisfied.

We have AC again. Thank you very much Sean!
