COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND INEXCUSABLE BEHAVIOR AND CONDUCT.
Workers left the yard a mess: bottles, bags, brushes, cups, leaves and branches not swept up. Took naps in the yard. Left the truck overnight on my property. Very inconsiderate and unprofessional
Owner: very rude and dismissive. Kept raising his voice at me and shouting. When I pointed out to him that the workers left trash behind, he said that they were going to come back and clean it up.  I have never had workers leave for the day and leave their trash behind. This is lack of oversight on the owners behalf - none of the work was done professionally. His workers are not trained.
When I told him that the work order was incorrect: first you clear away then you feed/fertilize" instead of what his workers did: first they supposedly fed the redwoods and then they attempted to clear away the ivy. He got very defensive and started shouting - clearly he knew that he was wrong and was trying to make up for his workers ineptitude.
The owner purchased a very sickly birch tree for me and refused to take it back screaming at me that verbal agreements are like written agreements and he went though a lot of trouble securing a tree for me. What a nasty and ill-mannered man. Avoid this company like the plague.
I paid my bill in full and will contact all licensing companies as well as the BBB to alert them of this.
I would never ever recommend this company to anyone - ever. Stay away from West Cost Tree

It went well. I thought the price was fair and good.

Joe came to make an estimate, at the time he promised. Returned next week (Thursday before Thanksgiving) with a crew to do the work, arriving on time. Did the work as agreed on, cleaned up afterwards including stuff that fell in pool.

The problem was he gave me a set price and the work was supposed to be done in one day and it ended up being three days. Half the crew showed up that was supposed to show up. He was a very rude and unpleasant person. The work took so long and then he dropped a limb on my neighbor's fence and destroyed the fence and had to come back and repair it. Then he told me it was going to be another day to cut down another tree. I told him I didn't budget three days and it was ridiculous. I said I would pay him for what I owed for the trees that he had done and we would call it a day. He told me if I tried to stop the work at that point, he was going to charge me what was really an excessive amount of money for the tree he had done. Essentially he put me in a spot where I couldn't get rid of him at that point where I was going to end up paying almost the contract price for all of the trees for literally doing about half of the job. It was a vague contract and he was so adamant that it would just take one-day because he had 9 or 10 people. Three guys showed up really late and they caused damage. He was really so unpleasant to deal with. He would yell and argue with me. He was just horrible to deal with. He was so unprofessional. It was terrible. The price was good and relative to what I got. He dumped a truckload of oleander chipping in my horse corral without even asking me. He tried to dump the waste from another job on my property. He tried to dump them in the middle of my horse paddock with my Arabian horses. I told him that it takes six weeks for an oleander tree to kill a horse and he got really annoyed. I told him that everybody needed to stop and put every bit of tree and leaf back into their truck and get rid of it. I was out there for hours raking up these oleander leaves that they dumped. Who brings waste from another job and dumps it? Also I had told them not to start too early with the chipping because of the neighbors and they totally ignored me. Then he called me up and started yelling at me on the phone and saying that I was the problem and the reason the job wasn't going well was because I was so unreasonable. He said I was making it so difficult. I told him we had an agreement about when he would start chipping. He wasn't supposed to start until 9 and he started at 8. The chips weren't really chips; they were like huge pieces of wood. They are still there and they have basically not disintegrated. They didn't spread them like they should; they just dumped them in a mountain. I had to pay somebody $150 to spread them and they didn't do a good job either. Overall it was just terrible. They were quick in terms of coming out originally but it took them 2 weeks to come out to fix the fence. He didn't really fix things as he went along. I would never use them again.

They were prompt and on time. They did a good job. They cleaned well after themselves. They got the job done, when they said they would. The price was a little more than I wanted to spend; but they did what they were supposed to do.

It went very well. We were very pleased with them. They knew what they were doing. They were professional. The work was accomplished, and we're pleased with the result. He had a good feel for trees. They accomplished the job and did what we wanted. They gave us a discount because they had a crew in the area on that day. They did a very nice job.

AFTER CALLING THE MAIN OFFICE FOR AN APPOINTMENT, THEY RESPONDED WITH A BID FOR THE WORK WITHIN 24 HRS. WORK WAS PERFORMED WITHIN THE NEXT 3 DAYS. WE WERE VERY SATISFIED WITH THE WORK THEY DID.
