This is a follow up to my 11/2015 write up. Well here we are 1/2017 and the project is still not done. Excuses galore. He finally got his hernia repaired in March 2016. He stated he would come out in May to finish the bathroom windows and replace the warped door with the laminated glass. We finally had to go to his shop and speak with him in early July. He then went on a hunting/fishing trip to Idaho. He came out end in August and replaced the door. During the install he cracked the laminated glass. AND, the door is still warped and sealing properly. Also we cannot lock the deadbolt due to miss alignment of the bolt. By this time I know he is really angry because now he is loosing money. But that is not fault. And he did not install the bathroom windows. This is the last time we saw him. We have emailed and texted till we are blue in the face. No response. This is really unfortunate because we really like Sergio. But enough it enough. Two years of giving him a chance to correct his problems and give us a good product is too long.

This is a follow up to earlier post. Has not returned our $750 or installed door. We actually got him on the phone a couple of months ago and he promised to come out and install. Never showed up! We are now taking Sergio Gaspardis and Santa Fe Manufacturing to Small Claims Court. We don't hold out much help. BTW don't let the LLC fool you. His company has been suspended according to the Calif. Sec. Of State web site.

Nov 2015
This project started in January of 2015. We got our first estimate in November of 2014. On 12/29/2014 he emailed me stating all was ready to install. Due to the holidays I emailed him on 1/7/2015 with dates for install. He responded same day stating that the paint needed a bit more time to dry. I gave him some dates and stated he was going out town for his sons wedding. I told him I would see him when got back. On the day he was to install the doors he ran about 5 hours late. He stated he had needed to finish a job in Santa Barbara. He finally started mid afternoon. He finished well after dark. My wife noticed that he had drilled one of the door handle holes too low. Part of the hole showed below the fixture. He said he could fix it so it wouldn't show. My wife said no, please replace it. He said you are right, I will do that. About a month later I emailed him on 2/17 asking if the door was ready. He said the door is being finished with painting and it was out of his hands. On 3/7 I emailed him again asking about the door. He stated he had just gotten it back and would install in a couple of days. Around 3/18 he came to install the replacement door. After installing my wife noticed that it was not sealing at the top. Sergio state, I can't believe it, it's warped. He looked at for a moment and said, I know, I need to replace it. On 6/24 I emailed him asking about the 2nd replacement door. He responded same stating that he has had the door in his shop for three weeks but his hernia is giving him problems so he can't do any lifting. As soon as his son can help he will do the job.
I have sent several emails to him since. He has not responded to any of them. I am asking for an update so that I know if he is going to install the door or not, or do I need to make other arrangements to replace the door. I have even asked if I can pick up the door so I can install it. Still nothing. Plus the bathroom Windows still need to be finished off as well.
Don't get me wrong, he does beautiful work, but I really don't understand what has happened here. The big reason for us getting the sound proof Windows was because we live close to the freeway and the noise can be annoying. I guess I needed to go out and find another door manufacturer for another door. Maybe I will send him the bill for that.
