I had to replace a 50 gal water heater under warranty and I figured I would also pay a little more and get the broken main water supply valve in the house replaced - as it was a pain to go and shut-off the valve on the curb. I was expecting it to cost about a max of 4 hours labor and $200 in parts for everything and I ended up paying for 7.5 hours in labor and almost $300 in parts. The time for water replacement was on the higher side 4.5 hours, but I was OK with it since they had to go get the warranty replacement (about an hour or a bit more) and about 30 min additional work to fix the relief valve piping. But the kicker was the main valve replacement - it took 3 hours plus $100 in parts and all because they couldn't think of opening a drain valve to divert the small trickle of water. Since the water was trickling out the pipe where the new valve had to soldered, they ended up using a longer propress valve and that meant a few more propress angles to bring back the line to the point where it enters the wall. All this was done after sanding to remove the paint and prepping the pipe which eventually had to be cut. All in all definitely not the work to be expected from pros. I should mention that one was in a helper capacity, but save for 10 min of the total time on the project they worked independently. I wish I had monitored closely and caught what they missed about the drain value - I just assumed they knew what they were doing and didn't want to butt in. Other than that they were cordial, left the work place clean etc etc - no complaints there. I'm sorry but in my case they didn't live up to they grade A reputation. I understand sometimes there are unexpected complications, but this was a pretty straightforward job made complicated by a rookie mistake.

Perfect. Most professional company and staff I have had the privilege of hiring. I am a senior citizen and have to be careful that repair people don't look at me as as easy mark. Mike Kimble Plumbing has never given this impression nor tried to overcharge or do less than perfect work.

I called to get an estimate, as I have gotten from 3 other companies. The other estimates ranged from $400 to $2000. When I briefly described the work I need, I was told that they won't come out to give an estimate. They just gave me a per hour price (over $100 with a one hour minimum) and that supplies will be additional. They didn't even tell me how long they thought the work might take based on the description I gave. For me even the $400 is a large expense. I don't start work without being sure I can pay for it, so an estimate is important. I don't have $100 to spend just to find out if I can afford the repairs.

Edgar from Kimble Plumbing was sent it to handle my plumbing needs. Edgar was knowledgeable, punctual, and professional. I could not have asked for a better response to the water leak in my bathroom wall/shower. If Edgar is any example of all the employees at Mike Kimball Plumbing...bravo! While they were here I also had them install a new shower head and tub spout. Everything worked out perfect and above expectations. The job took approximately 2 hours. Which included detecting the leak, fixing the leak, attaching both showerheads, a faucets, and adding a new tub spout...and double and triple checking everything before he left to put my mind at ease. I would deftly hire them again for any of my plumbing needs. PS - They even honored their coupon off of Angie's List and totally cleaned up after themselves!

Mike's guy came right away, assessed the problem in minutes and had the leak under control after building a custom size replacement pipe. Nice guy too.

the water heater went out at a rental property, and they responded quickly and had a decent price. Work went well, and seemed fine, I was very happy, until about a year later, some other plumbing work needed to be done and the plumbers noted that the main hot water valve was failed and had not been replaced with the water heater as it should have been. Not being on site or being a plumber, I expect Mike Kimble plumbing to have known and done this at the time the work was done. This has left me reluctant to use them again.

I have a condo that I rent out..our renters contacted my daughter, who helps me with the condo, and the water heater had gone out..the renters tried to relight it but weren't able to do so...My daughter contacted Mike Kimble plumbing (this was on a Sunday). they were able to work us in for Monday...they worked out the time with the renters, the repairman was super, very professional and our renters were extremely happy with the service...Mike's plumbing was recommended to me many years ago from a dear friend..I am so glad we called Mike and will use him again...I definitely would recommend Mike's plumbing for any of your plumbing needs.

The service is friendly and professional. There is always a real person answering the phone who follows up on appointments and responds to any issues that may arise. The owner Mike Kimble is accessible and stays involved with the progress of the job. We had replaced the stem on a leaky faucet in our guest bathroom. Some weeks later when preparing for a guests arrival we noticed that the hot water was down to a trickle. I called Mike and he sent someone over the very same day to fix the problem. Since the problem was with the stem that had been recently replaced, they put a new one in at no charge to us. We are very pleased with the professionalism of this business.
