We paid to have a major leak fixed near our chimney and a roof tune up fixing broken or loose tiles. We thought Alfonso Jr. was a nice guy, but 3 months after the work was down we notice that a one of the tiles near the major leak wasn't replaced only glued together. I asked for him to come fix it but he never did, kept making excuses. Well 2 years passed and I was on the roof putting up Christmas lights and I found 2 cracked tiles that were glued together where you couldn't see them from the ground. They had totally separated and would have become a leak that could have damaged my home. I reached out to Alfonso hoping he wold do the right thing and come fix both issues. He instead tried to blame someone else. The fact that he took shortcuts where you couldn't see them. Makes me wonder what other short cuts he took.

The jobs I had for Mendez Roofing were both small, patching a roof and later adding some flashing.  Nevertheless, I would highly recommend them.  Alfonso Mendez was friendly, prompt, and reliable.  Whereas others seemed to see an opportunity to make the project more than it was, Alfonzo was a straight shooter and his estimates were extremely reasonable.  The work appears to be first rate and I would have no qualms about now hiring him to install an entire roof.  For any roofing job, put Mendez Roofing at the top of your list.

Great! Alfonso stopped in within a day of making initial contact on the phone. His quote was one of the cheaper quotes we received. He provided clear communication and updated the job specs to our requirements quickly and professionally via email. Within 10 days of the first contact, he had the job done.
The workers arrived on time (said 7:30-8AM and they were here by 7:40AM). They confirmed the colors of the shingles and other details in the morning prior to me leaving for work. By the time I was home from work at 5:30, they were finished and the job site was perfectly clean.
I will be using them again for other projects and recommend them to anyone looking for good roofers in Ventura County, CA and surrounding areas.

Mr. Mendez was a professional from the first time he arrived to give us an estimate. He obviously knows his business well, but is not a pushy salesman--quite the opposite, in fact. Whereas some companies send out an "estimator" he is the real deal--a licensed roofing contractor.

He included everything we asked for in our contract and was extremely patient in revising and adding details. We were very cautious because of a previous very poor roof install that needed to be torn out and replaced, and could not be fixed.

A total of 11 professional roofers showed up on the first day and worked until the job was completed a little over two days later. They paid great attention to detail and it shows! The final product looks beautiful. We feel we got more than our "money's worth" and would recommend Mr. Mendez to anyone looking for a stress free quality job for a very reasonable price.
