About us

Anacapa Animal Hospital is a full-service veterinary hospital in Ventura, Ca. Dr. Burner is our primary veterinarian and has been providing quality veterinary care for cats, dogs, rabbits, rats, and other small pets for over 15 years. We are proud to be part of the Ventura County Veterinary Association and a 25 year American Animal Hospital Association Accredited practice. Anacapa is the winner of the Ventura County Star - 2011 & 2010 Readers' Choice Award

They are just very personable. The veterinarian takes the time and explains things to me, so that's good. We have just been taking our dogs there for several years. Their veterinarian retired, a new one came in, and he was just as nice. He knows how to handle the animals.

I have been using them since October which is when I adopted my pet. They are very thorough. They call and check up to make sure my pet is doing ok. They are personable and care about my animal. They are more pricey than other places around. They provide fair value for the money I am spending. They are very punctual. I did not have to wait long. They take my paper work and get it filled out. I would continue to use them again in the future.

Dr. Burner, the owner is the main vet, and I can not say enough good things about him. Dr. Lovelace and Dr. Lipp are the other veterinarians, and I feel very comfortable having them help me and my animals. They have a cutting edge clinic, with all the modern equipment for surgeries and treatment. They also have a pet portal, a interactive computerized program that helps you stay on top of treatments and appointments. Their whole staff is very nice, and I'm glad that I was able to avoid going all the way to LA for this type of service.
