Craig Paterson of Handyman Los Angeles, has provided me with the service I was expecting and so much more. His prices are reasonable, he's always on time, he works within the time frame discussed, and his work is always so clean and professionally perfect.
He is God sent. I'm so happy I found him. Craig Paterson is now my go to guy for any handyman work I need. I recommend him to all Angie's List members. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Craig for being true to your craft and to your clients.
thought was too simplistic. I've had other picture hangers who put in
special hangars and nails that would hold the weight of the picture and
would not crack the wallboard/plaster. He also had no opinion on how
high the pictures should be. I would have been better off doing the job
myself.
On the plus side, he came on a Sunday and he was a few minutes ahead of the scheduled appointment time.
"It's been 3 months since I did that job and 3 months since the customer's recent review about it. I arrived on time at 10 am and was there for over 2 hours. I think there were a dozen or more pictures to hang. Most pictures were small and light and had been hung before with wire on the back. I used picture hanging nails for some, and drilled holes for wall anchors and screws for others that were heavier [customer stating I used nails only is untrue]. I hung all the pictures, and leveled them all with a level. I finished, invoiced Rick for $90, and he wrote a check for $90, not $100 as he said. The customer then asked me to look at the cracks in his bathroom floor and give him my opinion. After I did that, he walked me out. His review 3 months after I did this job is the first time I've heard from him since. He has never called to say any pictures were falling or anything. Unless they've been bumped, I would attest that they're still hanging and level. I don't know...he's never contacted me. The issue I do remember with the customer was that he had trouble deciding which pictures he wanted where. When he could not decide, I would try to help. To say that I had "no opinion on how high" is not true. What is true, is that the customer wanted me to help him make decisions and when I gave my opinion, he could not make up his mind. He also wanted me to tell him if what was in the picture [the art, the colors in the art etc.] was the best for that location. I told him art is personal and advised he may want the help of an interior designer who is great with these situations. I offered the contact info of a designer I have worked with many times. He declined it."
In terms of pricing, I've found that his estimates are exceeding fair (based on a couple comparison quotes i've received from plumbers, etc.).
Craig is also good about fixing other ancillary issues that he stumbles upon while working on the main projects.
In short, I enjoy working with Craig very much and plan to continue to do so in the future.
