My wife and I said to one another
"Do you remember that girl at those condos in Santa Monica that Pardee was representing?"
"Yeah, but we lost her card."
"Well, let's just go to their offices and track her down."
We head over to the Pardee headquarters in Venice on a Saturday and walk in. There's at least other 5 people working on various things. We introduce ourselves and tell the story about the other realtor and how we met this nice girl that was working for them. They tell us it's Kathleen and we call her cell and leave a voice mail and eventually set up a meeting. From this point on our house search became super easy. Kathleen sent us copious listings every day, and also looked in to properties we found online. She also made calls about properties we saw that were obviously vacant but not listed for sale. For 3 weeks Kathleen returned every call we made to her, every email, and went to every open house with us. When it appeared as if all hope was lost she found us an amazing place in our price range in Culver City that other realtors told us "just didn't exist in this crazy market". We made an offer, it was accepted in 48 hours. We closed within 30 days with absolutely no problems. During that time, our mortgage guy was also so impressed with Kathleen that he sent some of his clients to her.
The Pardee people are like a family. A lot of real estate offices give you a shark tank vibe where all the people are competing with each other through false smiles. There's an excellent team atmosphere there and I just can't say enough good things about them. They even donate 10% of your sale to a charity of your choice. What a stand up company! What else can I say? Whether you're a first time home buyer or a veteran who is about to sell again and having anxiety about dealing with another scuzzy realtor then do yourself a favor and hit up Pardee.
