Sami was the 2ed cheapest of 7 estimates, but was the only one to provide all American solar panels. I had a very minor problem afterwards, and Sami sent a man out within 24 hours, to fix everything to my complete satisfaction. I will use Sami for future work, since he also does electrical work, and installs security systems.

When I first meet?Sami from SEC I was highly impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. He explained all the solar options that were available and made a?recommendation based upon our electrical usage. I also wanted to relocate my main electrical panel at the same time. Sami said it would be no problem and I could save some money doing it at the same time?while they were here. We set a date, Sami drew up the plans, submitted them to the city and pulled the permits. All the material was delivered the day before the start date and the SEC crew was right on time the next day. They wasted no time, installing the solar panels and the new electrical panel and wiring at the same time. About half of the panels were going on the roof of my family room which has an open-beam cathedral ceiling. They needed to drill and?bolt about 20 brackets thru the roof into the beams, if they missed I would have a hole(s) in my ceiling. I'm Very Happy to say they didn't miss a single one - Quite an accomplishment in my opinion. The entire project took less than a week to complete. The installers were all great, they were courteous, kept everything clean all the time and?checked in with me every day before they left. Given the amount of work required and the short amount of time it took to complete,?I have to say I am more than impressed with SEC, Sami and all the crew. Now for the Best Part! Between running my air-conditioning, swimming pool and the crazy hot weather we have been experiencing, my electric bill averaged around $3000 a year. After I had SEC install my solar system?I paid Edison ONLY?$168 for an ENTIRE YEAR.?That was even better than Sami had estimated. Kudos SEC If you are looking for Quality Workmanship,?a Reasonable?Price and like getting more than what you paid for, I recommend you call Sami at SEC

Working with Southland Electrical Contractors was overall an excellent experience starting with the estimate to the finished result. We received a few estimates and their pricing was the most reasonable. Their employees have a positive attitude, are very helpful, answered all my questions, are thorough and knowledgeable. I'm very happy with the results and everything looks clean and is working great! My electrical bill went from being around $250 a month, all the way down to $18 a month! I highly recommend them!

All went well, until DWP had to come in for an inspection. It's been over a month and still waiting on DWP.? Everything else was done quickly and the work looks good.

It went very smoothly. ?The engineer came along with Sammy and they inspected to roof. Determined how many panels were necessary, determined where they would be of maximum benefit, determined cost and provided cost benefit information in order to make an informed decision. Once we decided to go ahead, they did all the foot work for permits etc...we decided on the install date and all work was completed within the time they said it would: 1 day of preparation and 1 day to install. We have had solar for a couple of years and are happy! Now that we have solar, we can keep use our air-conditioner all the time and keep the temperature at a comfortable and cool level.? Solar isn't the only service this company provides. They are a FULL SERVICE contractor. We had 7 bids to remodel our kitchen. ?When Sammy called to follow up on our solar we were chatting and we told him we were entertaining bids on our kitchen. ?He asked if we chose a contractor and we told him we were down to 2 and had a written estimate from 1 in our hands which we had not signed yet. He asked if he could come over immediately and he did along with his designer and cabinet maker. ?Everything I asked for he said it was possible. He gave us a bid within one day and since we already knew his work and reliability we went with him. He took us shopping for tiles and granite, he got color samples for us, he had a timeline and he stuck to the timeline. ?The crew was friendly and cleaned up the area every day. ?There was a foreman on site everyday. They were on time, the quality of workmanship was perfect. ?The job grew in scope as they went along and that was because we kept adding things we wanted done to the original designs. ?They said it would be 4-6 weeks and they completed the work in just over 4 weeks. Sami and his team did a fantastic job. ?Very professional. ?They were very experienced and knew everything that had to be done to pass the city inspection and the LADWP inspection. ?The job passed the inspections easily. They also handled all the appropriate paperwork and filings with the city and LADWP to get our solar system approved, new meter installed and switched on. ?This was so helpful. Trying to work through the all the red tape and filings with LADWP can be a nightmare. ?They did it effortlessly. ?I would definitely hire them again, and I will call them if we decide to add more solar panels to the house in the future. We are very happy with the job.
