Reliable Roofing - (Houston)

The presentation of the sales person was great, the follow through was just ok by the foreman, or person over seeing the project. My suggestion is people only get a roof once or twice in their life, I don?t know what to expect. When u advise what process will happen, just follow through. I had no special expectations , but when given a detailed process and it?s not followed through, I?m disappointed. Maybe less is more, if u don?t know if certain things won?t take place. Overall my roof looks great, the price was crazy, but needed to be done.

Worst experience I have ever had in my life. We live in TX. Our roof looked in relatively good condition, and they somehow convinced us to change our roof. We have a big house, of course a big roof of over 7500sqft. We hired them on the 8/12. Demolition started on 8/14 morning. Right after they started demolition, we found out they delivered the wrong type of shingles. Field manager Taylor instructed to only demolish half of our roof, did inspection of decking, then he left. The plan for the day was to replace rotted decking and lay on underlayment of only half of our roof as instructed by field manager Taylor. In the late afternoon, the crew led by Celavie (who we found out is a subcontractor) under management of foreman Francisco (another subcontractor) started demolishing the other half of our roof (not sure under who?s authorization), which we contacted our project manager with reliable roofing. The manager is confused just like us. The crew didn?t do any decking inspection, nor replaced any rotted decking. Instead, as the day is ending, they tossed underlayment on the other half of our roof in such a sloppy manner that they only nailed on two sides of the underlayment, and left the huge middle portion hanging by itself with no nails to secure it to the decking. As I mentioned we have a very large roof, this sloppy behavior resulted a major roof leak later on. They promised to come back on 8/16 to finish up where they left. Nobody showed up that day. The right shingles arrived on 8/17, which our project manager was completely unaware of again. We had intermittent rain between 8/12-8/16, and a big rainstorm hit us on 8/17 night. We had significant leaks in our kitchen, dining room, breakfast look area, and one of our walk-in attic space, not to mention numerous smaller leaks in our huge attic. We contacted reliable roofing right away, the plan was to lay down huge tarp on our roof. The foreman Francisco arrived, he walked in with a mocking expression and kept repeating ?the reason you have a roof leak is because you don?t have shingles?, then he left without any intervention. They finally restarted working on our roof in between small rains on 8/18, and had to stop by the rain in the afternoon. Then comes long wait until 8/22, the same crew resumed the work. A few hours into the day of work, we expressed our concerns to our project manager regarding the wrong way one worker was laying down the shingles. First of all, he was reusing the old underlayment, and was laying down the underlayment on top of shingles. Instead of addressing to our concern, the crew leader Celavie ordered the crew to stop and leave. We are left with lots of nails, garbage, destroyed sprinklers, ruined garden, destroyed gutter and gutter guard. Now almost 2 weeks into this roof change, we still have the project pending in the air. Damages not repaired not resolved. Reliable roofing is unable to find any other crew to work on our roof. Another week of rainstorm is coming this Thursday on 8/26, and they still cannot give us a plan. We were just getting blank promises with no real actions to resolve any issues. We still have a half open roof with underlayment that were missing most nails.

Did not end up with the roof I wanted and expected. Lack of communication plagued the project as circumstances arose leading to a very disappointing outcome. Way overcharged. The look is terrible but at least it doesnt leak.

They were prompt, professional and completed the work in a timely matter.

Robert is very professional and thorough in letting me know what to expect. He showed up with the crew everyday to make sure things went well. The roof looks wonderful!

We spent almost 30k with this company. When they found out that this wasnâ t an insurance claim, we basically had to figure out a way to get these people a payment since they donâ t trust employees with money. At the beginning they were amazing and kind. We honestly couldnâ t have asked for more. Then they started the job and we had to repair decking 100% (Iâ m starting to wonder if this was bc of our CASH transaction). So here we are the roof is finished and they are trying to force me to sign the completion letter. Yet in the initial visit, I was told that until I sign saying the work is completed they donâ t get paid. Well this isnâ t my full time residence so it would be a few days before I could get out. That wasnâ t good enough for them. I realized this once I viewed the property and they broke off a section of my gate and it wont go back in place. They stood it up, cam footage shows it fell down right after and they left it there. I ended up being yelled at my my original project manager, his supervisor (a Spanish man), and I went back and forth with Taylor (THE BIG BOSS) behind how to get them a payment!!! So a veteran here, spent almost 30k, and we were honestly treated like shit right after the job!!! I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS with these people if they offered me a FREE ROOF!!! Buyer BEWARE!! Also I have proof of all of my encounters with this ALLEGED PLATINUM company!!

They did a bad job not replacing some rotten areas instead gluing over them. Shingles not laying down as they should. When I complain they said it was just a shed they sent one man out only to nail the overhanging Shingles down thats all. They wanted to charge me more than I paid for the storage shed eventually dropped a couple of hundred still opening 27 hundred. Heads up with this company!

Over all they did a good job Just a little surprise that the garbage was not remove.

Project manager stayed on top of everything. Amazing crew and they were fast. Some minor things like the clean up wasn't 100 percent but the project manager came after and cleaned up. We are fussy. I can't say about value for money as things are very expensive thanks to Covid.

Their price was certainly steep compared to others - which I thought would give me peace of mind as they advertised themselves as a premium roofing company. However, this was not the case as I had multiple issues regarding the project. On the day it rained, they had underlayment down but we still had numerous leaks, which were eventually fixed but after throwing a fit about them. Additionally, they were awful at communicating and a hassle to get a hold of. We called and texted numerous times to get a hold of them to no avail. My issue is that they assured me that they were an exceptional roofing company, as reflected by their price but my experience was riddled with issues and stress, suggesting that the premium I paid for the roof was pointless.

completly redecked and shingled the house in 2 days, but have not completed the follow up as of this date.

You really get what you pay for. Fred H, the project manager, was especially helpful by keeping me in the loop on everything. We had several rain delays, but when the guys worked, they were efficient and took care of the business at hand. The 50 year Owen's-Corning certificate was the icing on the cake. ð

Reliable Roofing was to do a total roof maintenance, including sealing 17 roof vent and stacks. For $2,100, they left in 2 hours. Reliable roof had one person on the roof, and an adhesive tube. They did not walk the roof! That is over $1,000/hour. If you want to get ripped off, these are your guys. If you see Austin come to your front door, DO NOT answer it.

Did a great job and was quick.

The Project Manager George was absolutely wondeful. The company was on the higher end but the quality of work and product was worth it. The 50 year warranty on materials and labor for our new roof was a selling point.

The roof looks very nice and they did a great job. They did not come with the proper vents and used the old plastic ones. I told the coordinator and the vents were replaced with new metal ones. They did a great job on cleanup.

Over priced, 24k for a 6k job. Changed the color of my flashing, destroyed 3 screens, promised an extra roll of shingles for possible future repairs which I never received. Did not return 2 pices of my vinyl siding they took to match what they damaged and left me with sunshine coming thru my roof and told me the roof would not leak. Maybe my roof was a challenge?
