They were fast...did the job the same day of the estimate. Since we had done business before (it was a weekend) they completed the job and had the office call on Monday for the credit card number. Very good!

It went very well. Seeing that I was watching, the head trimmer asked me before trimming each tree what my wishes were. Everyone on the crew was polite and attentive. When they were through, they did an excellent clean up. I gave the price a B rating only because I got three quotes and Green Leaf's was in the middle, but I believe I got good value for my money..

Couldn't have gone better. They are EXCELLENT! David Bohacec came out to hear what we needed to have done and to give us a quote. We were impressed that he was knowledgeable about Pasadena Fire regulations and knew about all the plants that we had on our hillside property. He gave us a good and complete quote. The company was able to meet our tight time schedule. He arranged for a great crew of 6 workers who really knew what they were doing. They came prepared with all the right equipment, and a large truck and wood chipper to haul away the brush and branches. They left the hillside raked clean. They showed up on time, worked very hard, and were cooperative to our requests. We were especially impressed that David Bohacec was here at the beginning of the job to ensure everything we wanted was done. And, he spent time here during the job and especially near the end of the job to see that the work was completed to our satisfaction. It's a pleasure to work with such professional people!

They are fantastic. I wasn't here when they did it. I was out of the country. They came a did my brush clearance when I was out. They have done it for the last 3 years.

Everything went like clock work from scheduling service to cleaning up after the job. The crew trimmed the tree very skillfully and did so in a very uniform and methodical way. The tree looks great and I'll feel safer in the next wind storm.

We've always used Green Leaf Tree service for our HOA grounds.  They always have the best price and they use real professional tree cutters.  I was amazed how quickly and safely they took down 6 large trees on our grounds and then they grinded the stumps and cleaned up.  Never disappointed when I use them, I highly recommend them.

It went great. They showed up on time for the estimate as well as for the job. They have done work for many houses on my block and, because I respect their opinions, I was right on board! They're great.
Are there other people who will do the job for less expensive? Yes, I'm sure. However, they probably don't have the equipment, the organization and/or training that the employees of Greenleaf do. They are great!

Abel came out the beginning of January to see the job and gave an estimate.  He came out again at the end of the month after I had changed my mind about what I wanted to be done.  For both estimates he was a great representative, coming on time even though he was on a job many freeways away, taking as long as needed to help me decide what to do about various problem trees.  He was able to suggest excellent remedies, and in general was polite and engaged at all times.   On the day of the work, he came at the beginning of the work exactly on time with his crew.  By that time I had changed my mind yet again and remembered another tree that needed attention.  No problem, he was happy to readjust the estimate to my satisfaction.  He gave the crew very detailed instructions before he left.  They  did a great job and were very professional the whole time.  Freddy gets a shoutout for his awesome work at the top of the super-high pine tree.  At the end, cleanup was perfect.  Definitely will use the company again.

I got 3 estimates and not only was GREEN LEAF's estimate much less than the other 2 businesses, the man that came out to do the appraisal was a total pro. He was punctual and he took the time to explain to me what really needed to be done. I had questions after he left and when I called the office number, they were quick to email me proof of insurance to allay my liability concerns. The tree removal was not easy because of the type of house I own and the tree hung over my neighbor's driveway and roof as well. The team was careful and efficient. Both the removal and the grooming of my backyard were done extremely well and the clean up was shocking. My yard was immaculate. I was so impressed with their level of work I have asked them to come back to give me a quote on converting my sprinkler system to drip.

We have used them in the past and they are very good. They've done a couple of stuff for us and they're pretty good. When I called for a quote they came out within a few hours and it's never more than the price they quoted. They take care of the job right away and they clean up very nicely. Everything went fine. They're here when they said they're going to be.

The first two members of the crew arrived right on time, at 8AM. That was the supervisor and the pruner. We started right with the pruning in the front yard. That was done very well and quickly. When that was done two other crew members arrived with the truck to collect the green waste. By that time the supervisor, Jose, and the pruner, Philbio, and I had gone into the back yard to start working on the hedge. From the beginning I was skeptical about the approach taken to trimming the hedge. Philbio started trying to top it before pruning it back and so it was very hard for him to reach the top of the hedge or have control of the chain saw, as he was fighting with the branches in his way. So, after watching for awhile, I suggested that they prune the hedge back first and then top it. They didn't want to do that and he kept struggling with it, finally actually climbing up to the top of the hedge, breaking branches along the way, of course and ultimately falling into the hedge. Luckily he was unhurt. I had obtained permission from my neighbor to trim the hedge which is on his property, but impinging on mine, but he is very fastidious and his side of the hedge is impeccable and trimmed perfectly. I was worried that Philbio's haphazard approach to trimming the hedge would cause destruction to the integrity of the hedge which would negatively impact it's appearance on my neighbors side. So, after Philbio fell into the hedge, I became more assertive and insisted that Philbio come down out of the hedge and approach the job the way I had suggested, by pruning the hedge back from the sides first, trying to trim the top. Philbio did as I asked and pruned back the hedge on my side, although it wasn't a very careful job. I'm still having to trim back more here and there where it's still sticking out. When it was time to trim the top, once again he could only top the side of the hedge on my side of the property and couldn't easily reach over to complete the job on my neighbors side. So I suggested he take the ladder into my neighbors back yard, after he finished my side of the hedge to finish topping my neighbors side. The supervisor and Philbio both rejected this idea entirely. So I suggested we call Paul Martinez, the owner of Solano's, to get his opinion. I wanted us both to describe the situation over the phone and then let Paul make a decision. The called and said there was no answer. I called the office and someone in the office got Paul to call Jose and Philbio, so I didn't have a chance to talk with him on the phone. He decided he wanted to come to the site to make the decision. There was a 45 min. or more wait for Paul to show up. Everyone just sat around waiting, doing nothing, until I finally suggested to the supervisor that they could be removing the two plants in the parkway while they were waiting. He did go ahead and do that, but it seemed to me highly unprofessional that he didn't think of it himself. He didn't really seem to have any supervisorial skills. When Paul showed up, after he spoke with the workers and he looked at the hedge, we discussed the situation and I proposed my solution and he first tried to convince me that they knew what they were doing, that they do this every day, etc., whereas it was very clear that they didn't know what they were doing. I took Paul next door to see the hedge from my neighbors side and, once again, emphasized how much easier it would be to complete the topping from his side, and would protect the integrity of the hedge and the trimming that my neighbor had already done on his side. It was clear to Paul, once he saw it, that it made sense to do it this way and so he instructed his workers to complete the job as I had asked. I give a lot of credit to Paul for being willing to change his mind and give those instructions to his workers. However, after he left I had a struggle to get them to actually finish the job. I'm too tired to write all that out now, but after I got out my electric hedge trimmer and started trimming the section they wanted to leave undone, myself, Philbio, went ahead and did finish the job. I'm sorry I can't give Solano's a higher rating because if I were just rating Paul, I'd give it an A rating, but the inferior training, or lack of training, of his crew and the fact that they forgot to return two rather heavy ladders to their proper places after the job, require me in all honesty to give a C rating to their overall performance.

They were very punctual for the appraisal. They then were punctual to the job itself. They were very clean, covered the pool with a huge tarp and did a great job! I would definitely use them again and I would recommend them to my friends and family. Very happy with the job they did.

I received several bids to remove one very large tree, several smaller trees and some hillside clearance. David was the rep who came out to bid the job. His knowledge was impressive and the bid was so much less expensive than 3 other bids that I was a bit skeptical, It seemed too good to be true, but I took a chance and boy am I glad I did. He descended with a large crew and they worked like a well oiled machine. The crew was very fast and they completed a two day job in a single day. The price was so reasonable I decided to walk David through a vast amount of hillside clearance I was planning to do several months later. He gave me a great price for the additional work and it was completed the following day! The final price with two times more clearance than I thought I could get done was about 1500 more that the highest bid for the first stage of clearance. He even took a great deal of decaying ceramic pots with dead plants to the landfill at no charge. The cleanup was fast and thorough. I Couldn't be happier.

Green Leaf did a fantastic job! They showed up between 8-9am each day and completed the job in 2 days. I had a few sprinkler heads and pipes that were broken due to the tree removal but that is just collateral damage and could not be avoided due to the large root system. Their prices were reasonable and I would highly recommend them.

Was able to get a quick appointment. Removed a tree that was too close to house, ground its root out. Additionally trimmed a birch tree. Good, professional service. Thanks

when I received my annual fire department notice to make my yard fire-resistant, I called Green Leaf. A representative came on the day appointed, quoted the same amount as past years, and came on the promised date and met all the fire department requirements. Left yard clean..

On timing, they get a C. But they get high marks for other areas and an A, overall. On price, they were not the cheapest, but we're very close to the lowest estimate; this company (Green Leaf) was selected because of a combination of price and reputation/ratings. More on timing: Had an appointment for job start between 8:30-9:00. Got call from their office at 8:45, saying they could not be here to start between 8:30-9:00, that they would show up between 12:00-1:00. I had no real problem with that. But, they actually showed up at 10:30. The main crew worked from 10:30-2:00 with a break in between. The shred/chipper truck to dispose of all of the debris appeared at 3:30, and the staff finished that work at about 4:00.
