G&A CONSTRUCTION

Look, this project is HARD. Redoing poorly built, 60-year old hillside homes is not an easy task. But G&A gave me a price and have stuck to it at all times. The only changes in price have been the upgrades I've requested, and the soil report/engineering fees they told me I'd be responsible for before we signed the contract. This is the 6th project I've done with these guys, and they are fantastic. Honest, hard working, and they'll show up when they promise to. They've got a great crew and will work their hearts out until they get the job done right. I'm thrilled to have found them several years ago, and wouldn't trust this massive project to anyone else. I'll post more information once the entire project is 100% complete in the next few weeks.

So far, this massive project is going well. There are many challenges, not the least of which is dealing with the city and the neighborhood Design Review Board and meeting all their complicated requirements. We're almost through that hurdle now. Throughout the process, Nico and Frank -- the contractors who run the company -- have been incredibly responsive and helpful. They've maintained the price they promised they'd do the job for even as surprises have come their way. And based on my past experiences with them, I know they'll continue to keep their word and do a fantastic job on our repairs. They are not the most expensive company, nor are they the cheapest. Their prices are reasonable and fair -- cheap contractors tend to do cheap work, and conversely I am not a fan of paying exorbitant fees as the only way to ensure quality work. I like their approach best -- fair prices, where you get even more than what you paid for. I'm putting my money where my mouth is, using them for a six-figure project, and I'm thrilled with my hiring decision.
