Unfortunately, the company, in addition to never completing installation of the whole system, failed to pay its subcontractors.  As a result, I have multiple mechanics liens on my property.  The company reportedly claims that they filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy, but has never forwarded that information to enable a claim.  I received 2 communications that they would provide resources to complete the project, but it appears that they intended to supply the names of contractors who I could pay a second time to finish the work that I had already paid CPS to do.  It appears that the matter will result in litigation.

Bottom line: Our pool is completely re-plastered and looks GREAT. That was what we cared about when we went out looking for just the right company at the right price to do the job. We got 3 quotes and 2 of them were MUCH higher than Crystal Pool and Spa. The 3rd was basically the same price but what made us decide to go with CPS was their volume. They do this often and are really good at it. I saw the few complaints online, but I also realize that most people who are pleased don't spend the time to come back and write a glowing review. Our lives are too busy and as much as we want to, we forget. I also saw the great reviews for them on various sites and knew that they were legit. So now it came down to execution...and they were tremendous.
Their owner Shawn was absolutely fantastic. He kept us informed throughout the whole process on what to expect and the company checked in often to make sure everything was cool. From demolition to the replaster to the start-up and follow-up, Crystal Pool & Spa was fantastic. And FAST! The minor issues that we had were resolved immediately and they were SO nice with us, checking in with us every step of the way just to make sure everything was cool and making sure we were maintaining it correctly so that we could use our new looking pool as soon as possible. Their prices were so good we thought, "could this be too good to be true"...but it was all legit and we are so happy we made the choice. Not only did we save thousands of dollars (literally) by going with them, but our pool looks and feels fantastic. We have no leaks and are just starting to enjoy our pool and spa as it was meant to be used during these hot summer months. I highly recommend Crystal Pool Group (aka. Crystal Pool & Spa)!

They had to do a lot of things.  Most of the people I worked with were great.  It took three months to finish the work.  They were all ready to go ahead and do the work.  They were responsive and tried to figure out what to do.  It was not entirely a perfect process.  Most of the part it was not their fault.  There was some frustration at times.  The pool, however, looks great.  The person I contacted in the company was super responsive.  She was great.  They were definitely responsive.  They did what they needed to do.  When we filled the pool it did not fill up since the pool was leaking.  They had to completely redo it.  It turned out that the electrostatic value was left open.  I had to keep filling the pool until they figured out the problem and got an extra $300 water bill.

The work itself went very smoothly.  Renovating my house, I had dealt with every kind of contractor (painting, construction, floors, plumbing, etc ? see my other reviews), and the guys at Crystal Pool & Spa were by far the best and easiest to deal with.  They were the only contractor that actually finished the project by the date that they said they would (not that I really cared since it was February and too cold to swim).  The whole process took about a week and a half.  One day to demolish the old plaster and tile.  One day to set up the baja shelf and shallow deep end.  One day to pour the concrete.  A few days to let the concrete settle, and then one more day each to add the tile and plaster.  All the crew members that came over to the house were polite and professional, and they always made sure to clean up whatever mess they made.
I want to point out that when I moved into the house, the pool lights were not working.  I just figured they were burnt out since they were so old, and asked CPS to bring two new lights and add it to my bill.  But one of the workers found out that it was just an exterior fuse that need to be fixed, and did it for free.  So give them a big plus for honesty since they could have easily replaced the working lights in order to pad their bill.
Finally, what matters the most is the finished product.  I have to say that the remodeled pool with the mosaic tile and baja shelf looks absolutely fantastic.  I felt like my pool looked better than many of the fancy hotel pools in Vegas (although on a much smaller scale).  After seeing my new pool, I wished I would have spent a bit more for some of their other products, like PebbleTec They even contacted me after the pool was finished to make sure that everything was great and that I was happy, and also that my pool guy was properly treating the new plaster.  Would absolutely recommend these guys for any kind of pool work.

We had Crystal Pool & Spa quote and then remodel our existing in ground plaster pool.  They were quick to do estimates, they only do it via email.  They were able to look up the build records of our pool and then quote the remodel based on size.  The pool is approx 15' wide by 32' long with 9' deep end and 3' shallow end.  There is a tiny spa, but the old homeowners removed the heater.  The Spa barely holds one person, so we opted to remove the spa wall and make a seating area for the pool.  CPS was quick to quote, started work in about two weeks and it took two weeks to finish.  Took a little longer since the tile we originally wanted was out of stock and took a few days to get tile samples as well.  Overall, all the crews worked quickly and hard and did an excellent job.  Two weeks start to finish until the pool was full of water

They left the backyard pretty clean afterwards, but the plaster guys left some plaster material in a flower planter bed, that was empty.  So I am left with cleaning that out.  Everyone was very nice and professional and the work went smoothly, very hassle free.

We had been experiencing some water loss in our pool and spa. We were simultaneously having problems with the valves and the auto fill mechanism. So, first we called a regular pool/spa repairman to address these issues. After they were resolved we continued to have a large amount of water loss, so we then assumed we had a leak somewhere. So, we then called Crystal Leak Detection to "detect" the leak. On the phone I discussed the issue with one of the owners (it is owned by two brothers, Shabaz and Shawn Khan). He was very knowledgeable and calming as I knew we could possibly be facing a huge costly repair, if the piping was involved. He assured me that most repairs were not that expensive or labor intensive. We set the appointment for a few days later. They came and tested the pool and spa with their equipment, very high tech, which I can not describe here. It was determined that it was the pool and spa lights and possibly a crack in the skimmer. They then set the appointment to drain the pool and to fix those areas. They quoted me a price and it was fair. They came to do the repairs and when the pool was drained they noticed a crack that was also suspect. So, then they adjusted their price and proceeded to repair those affected areas. We were then told to watch the pool to see if the issues had been resolved. So over the next few days the pool and spa continued to lose water and we were puzzled. So, I then called the owner who said that he would come the next day to do more re-testing. He isolated the spa and saw some issues there. He repaired those at no additional cost. We were told again to watch the water to see if the spa continued to leak. It did and even though I was frustrated, the owner said don't worry, we will figure it out. So, he came out again and re-examined the spa to find that the drain had some seepage. He then repaired that the next day. He was always pleasant and professional and confident that the leaks, all of them, would be fixed. Finally after the drains were fixed, he again asked for us to watch the water. He did not ask to be paid until the leaks were fixed. Low and behold, the water HELD!!!!! The owner then came the next day, just to be sure all was good. The account was settled up and both parties were extremely happy at the outcome. The whole process took a month and although it was frustrating, the goal was reached...the pool and spa were FIXED. Needless to say I was very happy with the service from start to finish. My dealings with the owners was always pleasant even though at times I was very frustrated and distressed that the pool/spa was still leaking. The owner's never lost their patience with me, even though the job was not routine. I would recommend them to anyone suspecting that there is water loss in their pool. He also told me what to do after to just make sure that everything remained in working order. And the warranty on the work was excellent, 2 years. So I felt comfortable.
