Bank of America

I've banked with BOA for 32 years, long before they purchased what was originally SeaFirst. My family has multiple accounts with them including several credit cards accounts. Not unlike previous reviewers, I recently paid my mortgage via online banking and they processed the same payment a second time a few days later. Not only did they debit the second payment, they said that I arranged the second payment myself online. They told me that I had decided to pay my mortgage twice. This comes after several years of complete insanity with BOA credit card services. Purchases made during the holiday season were repeatedly declined, leaving me in front of a cashier and other customers having to explain why my card did not go through. So I started call them before I made the Christmas purchases to let them know I was about to use my card. I was given the go ahead by a live sales rep -- and then my card was again denied at the cash register. I called the BOA reps again was greeted by a condescending man who began blaming me for the error. This weekend we drove out of town for a short weekend trip and while attempting to use her debit card at a store she's been shopping at for 30 years, my wife's debit card was denied at register. Our family has a near perfect credit rating. Every card bill is paid off completely at the end of the month. There is no way BOA deserves ours business. We'll be closing most accounts, including our children's soon. If I could close my three BOA credit card accounts at once without impacting my credit rating, they'd be gone too. Those will be gradually closed. After a three decade customer relationship with Bank of America, I would strongly recommend you not bank with them.

Bank of America was extremely helpful in helping us get the line of credit that best suited our needs. The loan personnel at the Ballard branch were knowledgeable, professional and courteous. They helped us through the entire process including our closing which was handled by the same person we had first contact with. Additionally, the loan personnel we dealt with over the phone were equally helpful and informative.

WE WERE FAIRLY HAPPY WITH THE TRANSACTION. I WORKED ONE-ON-ONE OVER THE PHONE WITH A COUNTRYWIDE EMPLOYEE. I HAD NO RESPONSE TO AN E-MAIL I SENT REGARDING SPECIFIC QUESTIONS TO DISCREPANCIES IN OUR DOCUMENTS.
