I had a few sprinkler heads that needed attention.  Chris cleaned a few sprinkler heads that were not working properly (reason for the call).  Changed a setup to eliminate water directly hitting a garage window (another reason for the call).  He also noticed a cracked part in another sprinkler and replaced it.  I appreciate that he took the time to ran each station and see how all the sprinklers were operating and found no other issues at this time.  I learned alot from Chris and will be able to handle some basic cleaning and repairs in the future.  I know that I will call on him when an issue is beyond me ability.

The initial call for service was uneventful. The company showed up within 4 hours. I had to leave and asked my wife to instruct the service technician to leave the parts that had to be replaced. One of the significant parts that was left could not have possibly come from my 1 year old unit as it was inconsistent with the age, condition and appearance other parts that were removed from the unit.  When I called Hi Tech to inquire into the issue I was told by the owner that "I trust all of my service technicians" and he began arguing with me in a very combative manner. I told him I would e-mail of picture of the part in question and he accused me of "blackmailing" him. When I informed him that his customer service skills were not going to resolve this issue, he told me to do whatever I wanted to to and hung up on me.
I wouldn't trust this company to perform any future repair and furthermore feel that they certainly do not have the best interest of the customer at stake. A completely unsatisfactory and way over priced experience! Consumer beware!

I would not recommend this company. 
Very pricey, and always late. I had a broken dishwasher machine and I needed it fixed quickly. The people over in Hi Tech promised to be there the first thing in the morning. In the end, it took them more than 2 full days to come. 
The price was really higher than I was quoted on and expected. Also, the washer died again after a couple of months.
I would not recommend this company.

Awful, I took over managing a rental unit and the job had been half way completed by the former manager. He choose to use Hi tech appliance. The first day the guy didnt show up, then a few days later he called, I called the dispatcher in the mean time and they said they new nothing of the job. So when the repair guy called me a few days later I told him and he said he wasn't sure why. He met me at the rental house, came in and didnt have the proper tools to remove the dishwasher from the cabinet. He had to come back. I tried to schedule a time to meet and nothing worked out. I called hi tech appliance they were now informed they had a tech out at ythe rental house working on the project. (the key info here is this company is poorly run, dis-organized and will waste your time) Hi tech told me a part was on order and when it arrived later in the week they would send the tech over. I originally called this time, on monday, I heard nothing from them so I called on thursday. they told me it might be in the nxt day. It wasnt. then they delayed me another week, tlling me each time it would be a few days. I was so angry at this point I wanted to get someone else and not pay. I didnt have the time to spend finding some one new. Come to find out the guy handling the job had the part in his truck and was on vacation. So hi tech appliance lied to me and wasted my time. when the job was done I was so happy it was all over. I learned onevaluable lesson from all of this: DON'T EVER USE HI TECH APPLIANCE FOR ANYTHING! they are: -Dishonest -unorganized -use sub contractors for repairs(they probably have a call center and that's it and they call on a group of sub-contractors when someone needs something fixed so you never know what you'll get, like Russian roulette.. I got a bullet in the head) -their prices -they are SLOW

After waiting for 2 hours, they called to say that their technician had car trouble....could they come 4 hours later...ok....Luckily I had done some internet homework on my stove and had an idea of some of the possible problems. I called the stove company and got some prices on possible parts. When they arrived they were friendly and seemed to know what they were doing. They charge $39 to show up and make an estimate. The estimate was $100 labor and $195 for the part. I knew, from the company, that the part cost between $25 and $40. When I told them this, they did a song and dance about how their part was "original". I said no to the estimate and started to write a check for $39. Then the bargaining started...the price instantly came down by $130. They knew what they were doing and replaced it, by the way, within 15 minutes. I decided to replace two lesser parts as well and the bargaining started all over again. Basically, this company will take you for whatever they can get away with. They were nice personally. I would say I was lied to or misled about 3 times. I would strongly suggest that everyone needs to do some homework or get taken. I don't mind paying for labor and expertise and a reasonable mark-up on parts. This company, and I suspect many others, simply exploit our ignorance.

I read a few positive online reviews on Angies List and pages of positive reviews on their website. My first call was not returned, so I called 5 hours later and spoke to a man who apologized and said he'll send a technician the following day between 8 and 11am. At 10:30am I called to confirm and 10 minutes later a tech entered speaking on his phone to someone else. This happened a couple more times during the service call. I would have preferred that his messages go to voice mail and have his attention on the job. He was efficient though and said he knew what the problem was. He needed to replace these lifters that raise and lower the drawer cover as he said they were broken, yet it wasn't evident to me. He said he had some extras in his truck and he can change it right away, which he did. The machine worked, yet he didn't leave the "broken" parts. Nor were the parts he replaced written on the invoice, so I don't know for certain the part number, nor the cost. I later called their office and the manager promised to provide the part number and price, and as a courtesy, he will send me a check for 10% of the parts cost. I have received no check nor any invoice with part numbers. I called and left a message regarding the part number and check, but no call was returned. I sent an email regarding the same and for them to please answer as I prefer to give them the benefit of the doubt to answer before I write a negative review on Angies List. As you can tell, no response has come through. A real shame. It does make me wonder how with all the positive reviews on their website, how not one is critical of their service. Mine is not a rash review and I gave them more than enough opportunities to contact me. As of today, 10/28/09, we have receieved the check. We never received the part, nor the price of it.

I called Hi Tech and they immediately understood the need for expedience in dealing with our our broken appliance. They scheduled a person to come over that day. Upon inspection he deduced the problem immediately and provided us with an estimate. I had prepared myself by doing some research on the internet as to common problems affecting older fridges and was therefore prepared for what a high estimate might be as well as possible frivolous parts I may not need (I know I'm a cynic but in L.A you gotta be) I was pleased to discover that the estimate given was under what was expected and right in line with the symptoms my unit was experiencing. The job was extensive but done quickly and cleanly. I'm going to emphasize cleanly here because the technician CLEANED under the fridge! Needless to say the fridge works better then it ever has and I will now use Hi-Tech exclusively for all of my appliances. Fair pricing and thorough workmanship is how I would describe their approach. A rarity in this town.

Call the company early morning (7am). No one answered the call, so I left a message and got a call back in 20 minutes or so. Person was very nice and courteous. Scheduled me for the same day, between 9 and 11am. Tech arrived at 10:15, called me 30 minutes before arriving. That was good, gave me time to get ready. Found the problem and got it fixed in about 2 hours. Everything is working great ever since, been 2 month now. Tech was very nice and clean. Did not make any mess, did not damage anything... Overall GREAT experience.
