Over the Labor day weekend it was hot! And of course the Air Condition could not keep up. It is not that robust of a system but it works (actually undersized for the house per the technician) normally cools the house down enough....
I made some calls and sent some emails out on Sunday 9-1-13. All the contractors I contacted through Angie's List did respond; but do to the holiday weekend and heat they were not able to make it until later in the week.
I surfed the internet looking for a local A/C contractor and came across GTK, so I called and Tom answered ( I noticed them on Angie's List earlier, but they only had one review, so I kept looking). He said he could come out the next day (Labor Day) with a 2 hour window. On Labor day he called me and said he is on his way (middle of the 2 hour window, pretty good) Tom showed up and he checked out the system; everything checked out ok; except low on Freon, he added 4lbs of freon to the system and its been cool ever since. Tom was professional, personable, and knowledgeable. He pointed out a few things that could be corrected but did not pressure me to have them done. Tom also gave me a couple of options to improve the system and suggested a more cost effective one since the A/C unit is less than ten years old and in good shape (the previous owner had a smaller unit installed than the house needs)
I will use GTK again, maybe to upgrade what I have (one the weather cools off...). Good luck and hope your A/C does not go out on a hot day!

They have a great attitude while being versatile and proactive in any situation. They are expensive but the quality of work makes it worthwhile. They arrived on time and did the job quickly and professional.
