Diran's Home Repair

The contractor, Diran, was called out to fix one small roof leak and one larger leak. Smaller leak was on a flat part of the roof and easy to fix (just mastic was needed). Larger leak was on incline of roof and required removal and replacement of tar paper and valley flashing. Neither task was done with any degree of skill nor at all. Diran arrived late on multiple occasions, and did not show on one occasion. We had to call Diran several hours after his stated arrival time, to find out he would not be showing up. Problem with our roof still was not fixed after Diran came by 4 times. Diran's hired person actually made our problem worse by causing another hole in the flashing. Diran, as the contractor, didn't take much responsibility for that mess up. The valley flashing was only replaced about half way up (5 feet) when it needed to be completely removed and replaced (about 12 feet). Diran broke several Spanish tiles on our roof while working. Diran then gerry-rigged a 'solution' to the broken tiles (replaced with several smaller broken tiles) and still, a month later, has not replaced the two broken tiles as he stated he would. Our leak was NOT fixed and Diran refused to come back out to fix it. The home warranty company forced him to come back out. Not sure what type of service and repair work we will get from a disgruntled contractor forced to come back out to complete the work he didn't do the first, nor second or third time. Diran came back out one final time just to tell me that there was nothing he could do as the warranty company had paid him all it was going to pay him, but that for an additional $700 he would complete the work he was supposed to have completed per the home warranty company. While at my home he was on his phone using profanity on the phone to his supervisors at the home warranty company. No work done/Bad work done. Bad customer service. Extremely unprofessional- cussing, left site with work uncompleted, no follow up.
