I hired Clark and Son's painting for one of my clients to paint an older Victorian house. Erik is the owner and lacks professionalism, attention to detail and most of all integrity. Some of his crew members have no business working on home of this caliber nor have experience in doing so. As a General Contractor myself, i pride myself in attention to detail, proficient work ethic and I take care of all my customers with the utmost professionalism and courtesy and I expect that from all contractors I hire. Several times during the project we had quality control issues that any professional painter with experience should have avoided. In one occasion we had a disagreement on the job site and Erik verbally abused me and circled around me in anger while one of his workers was holding him back from attacking me. Erik also didn't provide workman’s compensation nor liability insurance for his employees in which he signed an agreement to do so and he will ask for a deposit to start the job that exceeds the amount according to California business law. I will never recommend or hire Clark and Son's painting again , his passion for his work is displaced and only focuses being a comedian as a second job !

Eric stopped responding after I asked for the stairwell to be included; very poor business practices.

The process was horrible. It was unorganized and unprofessional. The contract was suppose to be done in about 5-6 days and it took 3 weeks to complete. The quality of the house was done in a I don't care attitude. The sloppiest work I have ever seen! He showed up whenever and left whenever he wanted. Paint on windows; gutters/spouts painted over, looking like 3D paint; didn't use painters tape to achieve straight lines; and no drop cloths. I told him repeatedly how I wanted it done, but he arguably told me, to wait until he finishes. We even caught one of his helpers peeing on the side of the wall! In the end, he wanted his payment in full before, cleaning the place. I would never recommend him to anyone. He is not qualified and should seek a different profession.
