Today Watson Plumbing saved the day for us. This was the third time in 6 years. The first two times in my previous house: first, a complete clean out of our sewer blocked by tree roots. Second, connecting our house to the main sewer and filling up our septic tank. Both jobs done professionally and expeditiously with meticulous clean up. Yesterday my sewer backed up and I texted Matt Picard from Watson Plumbing. They showed up exactly on time, snaked the line, did a video inspection to find the problem areas, identified significant root problems in the main (city) line too, re-snaked the remaining area, and cleaned up. Matt also recommended I consider some work to prevent future problems. Their work is thorough, careful, and with 21st century tools.

They showed up to provide an estimate (on time). They provided the estimate and the work was performed at that price. In addition, they did all of the cosmetic cleanup work afterward and got city inspections performed/ permits obtained, etc. They were very professional and kept me updated every step of the way.

I have used Watson to install septic systems at my property in the past (last one was about 14 years ago). They were (maybe still are) incredibly knowledgeable and also really nice people. I have always thought they were the best company for this kind of work. So I don't know what has happened with them, I even feel bad writing a negative report about them. In the last two years I have tried twice to have them come out to look at a septic system that I am having a problem with. It has nothing to do with simple cleaning for which I use Showalters Sanitation (an excellent Angies List company), it may need replacing. When I have called I have spoken to someone on the phone who has told me that they can help and that someone will get me to me to schedule an appointment. It all sounds good, except no-one calls to schedule that appointment. The last time I even called them back on the phone and left a message on their answering system saying what had happened and that I would really like to do my business with them and not go elsewhere. They didn't call me back. If they no longer do residential service of any kind then they should say so, maybe someone is ill in the family. This was a great company, I don't know what happened.

I have always have gotten excellent service from this company. They are honest and friendly. They have given me good advice and have save me a lot of money over the years. He relieved my stress of the costs that I might facing.

If a company doesn't even have the courtesy to call to reschedule an appointment, I can only guess at how unreliable they would be if they were retained to perform work. All Matt or Tom had to tell me was they were not interested in giving me an estimate, they were too busy to do so, or they needed to reschedule.

Tom and Matt explained step by step how the abandonment of the old septic system and the installation of the new septic system would be done. They even handled all the permits with the city. That alone was worth it! They finished the project on time and cleaned up so well we couldn't even tell they were there! The new system was installed as part of our new remodel. They also provided us a bid to install mainline sewer in the street, but they felt it was cost prohibitive and our new system would last for many years to come.
