MINT CONDITION PAINTING

My wife and I needed to have our entire living room with cathedral ceiling and second floor landing painted, including the wood trim, and we also needed the family room/kitchen walls to be scraped, skim coated, re-textured, and painted. Based on reviews and recommendations we got from neighbors and friends, we called Mint for a quote. Jon Green, the owner, came to the house. He was a nice guy and very easy to communicate with. He answered all our questions and gave us advice when we asked for it. There was no pressure to commit to anything during the visit, and he sent us a quote the following day. We got a couple of other quotes, but ultimately we chose Mint because of their stellar reputation and ease of communication. Jon got us exact paint samples to try before the project started, and he gave us an accurate start date that worked with our schedule. On the first day that work was to start (July 1, 2019), Oscar, the project supervisor, and his crew from Mint, showed up. Oscar answered all my questions and addressed all of my areas of concern. He was very patient with me, and he did a great job instructing his crew. The project took three day, which was one day faster than we thought it might take. Mint was on-time every day, and the entire crew was great and very kind to my family, which I greatly appreciated. Best of all, they did an amazing job. Also, they handled all the little things I asked for, and they did some really nice extra things on their own that made the entire job even better. They went above and beyond, and I am so happy we chose to work with them. If we need any future painting work, and I am sure we will, they are going to be our first call. We highly recommend them, especially if you live in the SCV.

Jon and the entire crew at Mint Condition was a dream! They were responsive, precise, and always willing to go above and beyond! The renovations taking place are in stages...I will DEFINITELY request their services again and highly recommend them.

This is the second time I've used Mint Condition Painting and again they did a fantastic paint job. Setting up an estimate with Jon was easy. He came over, gave me a fair estimate, and I hired him right on the spot. No need for another estimate since his previous work was already proven quality. On the scheduled appt date, his work crew were prompt and arrived on time. The site supervisor stopped by as well to check on their work. The 2 guys did an excellent job and cleaned up spotless. I have to say, this company is FANTASTIC!  I don't even think fantastic covers it!  I am 100% please with their work, their efforts, their professionalism, their abilities and their flexibility. 
Jon came for the quote, and greatly under-bid the next best by over $1000!  His care and questions were on point, and he was wonderful to work with.  The team that came to do the work was phenomenal!  I was there for part of day one (prep and starting ceilings), part of day four (our "accent wall" - I'll explain later), and most of day five (touch ups, and clean up)!  The crew was very professional, worked very hard and quickly, and provided excellent results!  Like I said I could not have been more pleased with the outcome.
Let me explain the "accent wall".  This wall is in our nursery and has a cathedral, sloped ceiling.  Since Winnie the Pooh is our inspiration, I wanted the wall to resemble a honeycomb with hexagons of various colors!  This proved to be quite a task!  Figuring out how large we wanted the hexagons was not bad, but it took a lot of time to really plan out HOW they would accomplish this task.  They ended up using stick-on vinyls, in the correct shape and size of the hexagons, put one on the wall to begin, taped around it, put the next one on, taped around it, and so on!  Once they got most of the bottom done, they used three to build "columns of hexagons" up to the ceiling.  Connecting the columns was easy (one piece of tape from point to point) and quick.  Once they really got rolling, the tape went up very fast!  I chose three colors to paint the various hexagons in the fashion I wanted, and they did the rest!  I got a text from the supervisor that evening when they finished, and the results were AMAZING!  I actually cried a little when I saw it in person.  It was PERFECT!!!
I am so completely satisfied with Mint Condition Painting!  I highly recommend using this company if you are considering having one wall painted or your whole home!

These guys go an amazing job!  Jon Jr. came out to give me pricing to do some work on the house.  The priced out the complete exterior plus the interior stair railing, treads and risers, some upstairs doors, and some cabinetry.  Even though I was a little late at calling them, they worked around my schedule and bent over backwards to make sure the interior work was done before spring break was over (when my family was coming back).  After that they moved right to the exterior of the house.  Within two weeks they had done all the work we discussed (interior and exterior) plus some additional items I added.  Jon Jr. made it a point to come out to the house every day.  Even on the Saturdays that his guys worked.  Do not hesitate to call and use these guys for all of your painting needs.  They really did a great job!

Jon gave us a written estimate and explained everything clearly, answering my many questions.  Once we gave the go-ahead, they scheduled the work and started right on time.  The crew worked hard and did quality work.  They communicated to us every day about progress and what to expect.  We are a little detail oriented and so had a lot of questions and little extra things we wanted done -- they treated all our questions and concerns as important and worked with us to address them.  We are very pleased with how our home looks!

You can't even tell there were holes in the wall. Recently, I approached them to find out how much it'll be to finish the rest of the house (family room and some kitchen), and I got a quote for $1600. Now mind you, I had them paint 6 bedrooms, living room, dining room and a 2 hallways for $4700. You can see why $1600 for the family room and some of the kitchen doesn't make any sense. Usually I dont write reviews but that got me really upset. It also makes me think that, A. They didn't want to take this "small" job now. B. If they did, it had to be worth it. When he first quoted me, for example, the living room (about the same size as the family room), was $550 w/ceiling.
Granted, this new family room would need a couple of patching work (to cover speaker holes), so I figured another $100 perhaps for that. My kitchen doesn't need a lot of painting because most of is covered with cabinets and such. I figured the quote should be around $800, maybe a $1000 at the most. When I got $1600 I was shocked to say the lease. I assumed going back to them would perhaps give me a good price but it wasn't the case. I just HATE being scammed. To bad I really liked their work and I wasn't ready to write this type of a review.

Everything went great and the house looks great.

The appointment for the initial estimate was quick and simple with Jon. I had the living room and dining room painted with a new color and also had some drywall repair done. The crew arrived on time on the scheduled day and did a great job. Oscar was the foreman of this job and was very professional and courteous. Thanks Jon and Mint Condition. I'm sure to call your company again for my next project.

I would for sure use them again.    They showed up on time with a crew of 3.  Moved and covered furniture then did the work and put everything back in place.  Was extremely happy with them.

Jon Green, the owner, was great.  I had a painter drop out of a job during a remodel and I needed to find someone quick who could do the work the next day.  I went to Angie's List for help and found Mint Condition Painting with good reviews.  When I explained my situation to Jon on the phone he came by in less than 1 hour.  He was friendly and very professional.  It was an easy choice to move forward.  Jon had someone out the next day and the job was done.  After the remodel was complete it was necessary to have some touch-up work done and Jon had no problem accommodating me.  I would easily recommend Mint Condition Painting to anyone looking for a good painter.

When I first met Jon, I was a little nervous because he's soft spoken and serious. I thought maybe he thinks we're crazy. But that's just Jon, he's quiet, but he's listening and takes all your needs very seriously. (I did manage to make him laugh a couple times though) What sold us on John, was how proud he was of his team and their work. He promised that it would look very professional and in the end he delivered in spades. He painted the whole interior of our house and put up new molding on all doors and windows and came back to paint the baseboards after the floors were installed. His team was always professional and very nice. Throughout the process, my husband and I would add little things to the scope of work and Jon would just take it in stride and say, no problem. He never changed the estimated cost or added to the estimate for these additions.
I really can't find anything bad to say about Mint Condition, we love how everything came out and we are so thankful.

Jon came out and gave us a reasonable estimate and was very attentive to our concerns.  When we hired him he came out with paint samples to choose from and once narrowed down gave us large color samples so we could pick the color we wanted.  When the crew came out they were courteous and Oscar made sure all our details were addressed.  There was good communication throughout the four days they were here.  We love the job they did and would recommend them.

Couldn't be happier with the work that Jon Green and his team at Mint Condition did.  We had gotten an estimate from a guy we'd been using that knocked us on our butts, but there were some high walls involved and I wasn't looking forward to working on tall ladders or scaffolds.  We contacted Jon Green and he came in with a quote that was just over half of what our other guy had bid.  His crew showed up right on time and got started right way. 
The first thing that hit me was the prep.  We have hickory hardwood floors and I was a little concerned about how they'd prep the area.  Within minutes, they had the entryway (not being painted, but still prepped just because of the foot traffic) and the downstairs decked out in taped down paper and plastic that was so neatly done, I actually started taking pictures to text to my wife.  How dorky is that?  No? how unusual is it to see a contractor that takes care of your house like it's just as important to him as it is to you.  Mint Condition did.  
They did a fantastic job on the painting, and managed trim lines at the ceiling that I haven't been able to achieve in years working with every masking tape and funky technique under the sun? their trick? done by hand with no masking of the ceiling.  Disgusting :)
I also told John we'd be tearing out the carpets upstairs, so I wanted to make sure I got the carpet removed along the baseboards to ensure they were able to do a good job on them.  But I wasn't able to get down their to do the ripping myself in time, so he had his guys do it for us free of charge and ended up doing a fantastic job on the baseboards as well.  
Mint Condition did an overall fantastic job on our house.  This house  has been a rental since we moved out a year ago, and the j****** who was living there really messed things up pretty badly.  When my wife walked in and saw what the house looked like after Jon's team was done, all she could say was "why the h*** didn't we do this years ago so we could enjoy it?"  Wish we had.  
If you're looking for a great job at a fair price and guys who do exactly what they promise when and how they say they will, and who will take care of your home like it was their own, you can be confident working with Jon and Mint Condition.

They were awesome.  They did a great job.  We had plaster walls.  They knew how to paint that correctly.  They were very good.  They cleaned up and they were very fast.  It was a lot of work because it was an older house that we had bought.  There was a lot of prep work involved.

Jon and his team painted the entire interior of my home. Jon was very easy to work with and his team of painters were extremely professional. His team finished the entire job within the timeframe that he promised and they did a good job cleaning up before they left. The quality of the job exceeded my expectations and I plan on using him again for future jobs.

Jon was there for the start of the project to introduce the crew, and checked in periodically throughout the project.
The crew was super professional, and the crew leader Jaime worked was great about working longer hours to get the job done before move in day.
The attention to detail from these guys was amazing: we did some brightly colored accent walls in the kitchen and bathrooms and the edging and trim were perfecto.
We really appreciated the fast turnaround to get moved into our home on time, and we're really enjoying our new paint colors.

We had a wonderful experience. Painters showed up on time worked hard, finished on time and left the home cleaner than when they started. the walls look brand new. Met John for our walk through to make sure we were satisfied, and we had a few very minor touch ups here and there, and a patch job that we had forgotten to ask for in our garage. He brought the crew back right away to fix our very minor touch ups and our garage that same day.  They were professional, polite, and cheerful. They had some very helpful suggestions. John has been in business in our area for a very long time. he even helped my husband locate a place that sold a kitchen hinge that we needed to replace. We were very happy with all the work they did.

Obtained multiple quotes to paint the exterior trim of our home.  I quizzed all contractors on whether some of my exterior trim was too rotted to paint over.  Most said just patch repair and paint over.  Mint Condition recommended to replace the bad wood which was what I wanted to do.  The other contractors recommended painting the stucco but Mint Condition said it was in good shape and didn't need to be painted.
They showed up each day on time and did what they said they would do.  They project took 5-1/2 days to complete.  When we found some spots that they missed painting they came right out and addressed the issue. I would use this company again and would recommend them to others.
