One of the workers damaged one of our couch, it was a light color and it was stained. The company immediately told us they would pay to clean it, but we ended up getting a new couch. Besides that, the services were good, that was the only thing we had an issue with.

Matt met me at my storage unit to unload some furniture I inherited from my Mother.  His work was impeccable, thorough, and fast.  He was so careful with my solid cherry furniture that is at least 50 years old.  He arranged the furniture in the storage and even swept out the u-Haul truck. So professional and respectful.  I will definitely be calling Matt again to arrange my next move.  Thank-you.  

Very  very satisfied with Mattews moving company. They  showed up on time and quick and very careful with all the items and fair price.

Matt and Jason and the guys all went above and beyond the call. Matt was responsive and professional, answered my questions, and suggested a better plan than my original idea. He was very courteous and helpful at every step of the way. It meant a lot to me to have the same company handling both ends of my move. They are nice guys and obviously take pride in their work. Very dedicated to taking care of this customer who was perhaps more needy than most as my husband was out of town for the time of the move. They delivered my furniture this week, on time and without a hitch. They were in and out faster than our delivery window required (very picky HOA on this end that required scheduling in advance and limited the time for unloading.) I am 52 years old and we have moved all over the country-- from Ohio to Tennessee to Connecticut, to Chicago, North Carolina and West Texas, now to California. Matt and his crew may be the most professional movers we have used yet, and we've had everything from company-paid moves to U-Haul. Would definitely use again. Highly recommend. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for and it was a very fair price for all they did for me. No complaints whatsoever. Love the specially reinforced wardrobe boxes you guys use: best wardrobes ever!!! --Mary Lou

ANOTHER GREAT MOVE. THANKS TO MATT & HIS CREW. I've used MATTHEW'S MOVING & STORAGE, twice now. Both times I've been very impressed. We have moved a lot in our 40 years of Marriage. (Actually way too much). I've used a lot of Movers in the past. (Never moved myself). I wish I would have found Matt & his crew years ago. We had to reschedule the move 3 times due to Escrow problems. Matt is very cooperative. He does his best to work with your date for move. Jason & His brother & helper Jessie has been employees of Matt for several years now. Matt doesn't hire "Day Labors", he has a full time crew. Very Experienced. Jason will go out of his way to help you, IE: They will hook up your appliances, install new hoses, etc if you need it. They carry a lot of extra equipment on there truck. I've had movers in the past that didn't even carry a screw driver. I talk from many, many years of experience with movers. Matt is the best in the business. I'm a very Nervous person to begin with, his crew is so Professional & nice that they don't even make me worry. They will do anything you ask. I've asked them to move, arrange, lift boxes in garage overhead, etc. Never a complaint. They don't take Cigarette breaks every 10 minutes like all the other Movers have in the past. If your moving from a 1 bedroom apartment or a 5,000 sq foot Mansion, Matt would me my only choice for moving.

Matthew worked with me on the schedule.  I told him I would like to have it done the same week I called.  He offered an 8 am appointment two days latter.  When that seemed to early to me, he offered a window between noon and 2pm the following Monday.  We settled on that plan.  While I  was on the phone with him he checked the addresses on line, asked about stairs.  He explained that his crew would call the home where they would be  picking up the bookcase about 30 minutes before they arrived.  I felt he had a good understanding of what I needed,  Before the moving day I confirmed the details by email, and got a thank you and confirmation from Matthew..When the crew arrived they were very friendly.  They communicated with each other and the move went very smoothly.  They asked me where I wanted the bookcase and put it exactly where I had indicated.  Then they actually gave me a chance to change my mind!  They noticed that brackets had been installed behind the bookcase and offered, that if I had the screws, they would attach the case to the brackets.
The whole experience was Excellent.

This company was amazing!  My husband and I had not planned on making a move any time in the near future, when an unanticipated job opportunity came up that required us to hastily make a decision to move from our home of 11 years to Pismo Beach, CA.  We had accumulated so much stuff over the years that the thought of having to pick up and move so quickly was overwhelming.  Matt reassured us that his team of professionals had the ability to make this move a smooth transition for us and they did an incredible job!  Matt stayed in touch with us through out the next couple of weeks as we prepared for our move consistently reassuring me that all would be fine.  When the date arrived for our move his crew was prompt, professional and courteous, working through out the day with minimal breaks or interruptions.  They had even brought an additional truck just in case it was needed for additional furnishings.  Everything he promised was just as he said it would be.  At the end of it all we were very surprised when Matt presented us with our final invoice of just under 2400.00, as it was 400.00 less than his original estimate of $2800.00!  Who does that?  Incredible experience!! I highly recommend Matthew's Moving and Storage as they were a blessing for us.

The move couldn't have gone better from start to finish.  Matt contacted me within 24 hours of putting a request for service to arrange the move.  The movers arrived right on time and politely introduced themselves and walked with me through my apartment to take note of what needed to be moved.  They proceeded to get right to work and were extremely fast while still being very careful with my furniture.  I actually could not believe how efficient they worked.  Everything including my bed, couch, TV, dresser, large and small shelves, TV stand, table, chairs, desks, and several large packed boxes were moved out and packed up in their truck within an hour.  Another hour later they had completely unpacked in my new home!  I really couldn't believe they did the entire move (including drive time) in just two hours!
This has to be one of the best moving crews around.  I would recommend them to anyone and will use them again for sure should the need arise.

Very prompt, very professional, very careful with items. Would definitely recommend for use and will use again. Some pieces were antiques and they were very careful to protect the items and to use caution when moving. Extremely please with service.

It was a wonderful experience.  The entire team was quick and friendly to work with.  Matthew was very responsive and honest.  I would recommend this company to all of my family and friends.

Isidoro and Carlos traveled from Saugus and Canyon Country to Van Nuys.   They picked up a gas stove and dishwasher from my sister's new house in Saugus and then went to Canyon Country to pick up a large wood entertainment cabinet and utility shelf unit for the garage, then drove to Van Nuys and delivered the items to my home.   Isidoro had to remove the kitchen door so the new stove could be brought into the house and the old stove taken out.  Everything they did was done quickly and professionally and both guys were very nice and helpful.

IT went very well. Our move was done in Aug. HOT day- we had two trucks full of stuff. The team was very helpful in every respect. From helping us pack the last of our stuff, to providing the best in moving materials.

Matt was a professional from the first time we met.  He advised on the move and gave a fair quote that was below or comparable with other companies' offers.  He dropped off packing supplies several times and called prior to moving day to make sure all was going well and then to confirm moving day.  His team was FIRST RATE. All the guys were professional, efficient, and helpful -- and also cheerful despite the huge loads they had to deal with.  They took great care with our art work and plants -- all arrived in perfect condition -- as did our dishes, which one of the fellows packed tirelessly for most of the day.  Matt and his team are superb.

My Mother-in-law unexpectedly had to go into an assisted living facility and it now fell upon my shoulders to pack up all her possessions and move the furniture out of her apartment.
My husband and I decided to keep four favorite pieces of her furniture for ourselves - a very large antique armoire (5' 2" wide x 7' tall); a tall (6' 8") china/display cabinet with three beveled-glass sides; a Grandfather clock (7' tall); a large, heavy, wrought-iron baker's rack (almost 7' tall).
I immediately went to Angie's List and began my search for a moving company.  Aside from the ratings, I feel it's very important to pay attention to the reviews.  I chose six companies (based on "A" ratings) and proceeded to read ALL the reviews of each company.  I narrowed it down to what I felt were the two best and from that point it was a toss of a coin as to which one I chose.
The antique armoire had to be totally disassembled just to get it out of my MIL's bedroom and down the stairs.  When it arrived at our house, Jason and Jesse partially assembled it in our living room until I could make room for it in OUR bedroom.  Then I asked them to show me how to take it apart (again) and reassemble it - which they pleasantly and patiently did.

I whimpered as they began carrying the 3-sided beveled glass china/display cabinet down the stairs.  I was jokingly told to "cover your eyes" as they did this.  Amazing!  Not a scratch, nothing broken - perfection.
Next came the Grandfather clock.  I know how delicate these large clocks are and they treated it with great respect.  When it arrived at my house and it was in its place in our living room, I was shown how to level it (didn't know there were levelers under the base - just like a washing machine).  I thought I might have to call in a clock person to check it out but when I wound it up it began ticking away and has kept perfect time ever since.  It worked fine when my MIL had it and did not need any further adjustment or inspection due to their careful handling.
The wrought-iron baker's rack now resides on our patio (where I asked them to place it).  It wasn't delicate or fragile - just very heavy.
If you're reading my review it means you're checking out this moving company.  Let me say this: ALL the reviews for Matthew's Moving & Storage are absolutely true!  Professional, ultra-careful, prompt, courteous, personable, obliging ... what more can I say?

The move went very smoothly.  The movers were very friendly and professional and they did a great job.  Matt and his crew were on time and worked efficiently.  They used three trucks and really paid attention to the details, e.g. pads on the feet of furniture.  I have used them in the past and I will continue to use them in the future.  I highly recommend their services.

We had a complicated move, from a large home to storage unit. Matt helped with the coordination and details while always being professional and respectful of our time and items.

Over the past several years I've seen Matthew's moving trucks around Santa Clarita and so I checked to see if there were any reviews on Angie's list and I was pleased to see such positive feedback that I requested an estimate online for my move.  The response that I got was very prompt as Matt called within 30 minutes of my requesting an estimate.  He came out and provided a detailed estimate and was very flexible with our busy schedules to get us on his schedule right away.  The estimate that was provided was well within my expectations, that based on the professional response so far and the good reviews on Angie's list; I decided take a chance to go with them without getting another estimate.  This turned out to be a good decision!
Matt maintained open lines of communication prior to the move, he offered to deliver boxes (and did), gave advice on packing and was responsive to all my questions.  He also called prior to moving day to confirm arrivals of his crew and make sure we are all set.  
On the day of the move his crew arrived on time, and got to work.  They took great care in protecting our furniture and were receptive and respectful to our wishes.  Because we had so much to move (and so many steps), they brought in a couple of extra guys so as not to go overtime.  The crew themselves were a great bunch of guys, very nice, and professional.  They were a joy to work with.  In the end, we did go a little over the estimate (by less than $200), but this was because they had to bring in two more guys to make sure they finished on time which would have cost even more had we gone into overtime.  This was OK by me as they were doing their best to stay close to the estimate.  When they made this decision, they consulted with me, and clearly explained the situation and costs.  In the end, we finished on time with not a single problem or any damages (as can sometimes happen with any move).  That evening, Matt checked in to make sure all was well and I was happy to repot everything went well.
To me, moving is generally one the worse experiences in the world and Matthew's made it much easier.  When we move again, we will definitely use Matthew's and I won't dread moving as much because I know we'll be in good hands.  We will also recommend Matthew's, without hesitation, to anyone we know is moving.

They were quick & professional. Everything was packed in the truck nicely & protected. They also did some dis-assembly & reassembly at the new location. They were just really good.
